such an addictive game, struggling to leave it alone!
 
i seem to be finding my feet now...doing odd challenges here and, stupidly giving in to my E-Type urges....shame i couldnt afford one of the other classics...that merc was rather nice hehe, quite amusing now, got an e-type, a caterham and and some alfa, none are tuned...yet, although the caterham is mental enough without me putting a stage 3 tune on it
 
Really enjoying this now after a driver update and a lot of faffage, Just bought a Ferrari, anyone else have trouble keeping the damn cars on the ground? :D
 
depends on the road and how hard im pushing...generally a bumpy/weavy section of road at 150mph in 6th gear in my caterham is only a recipe for disaster

Animal doesn't even start to cover how insane the Sagaris is to drive imo! :D

Bought a Maseratti GT earlier, with the level 3 tuning it is one very very nice car, and its class D too! Swear it feels much quicker than that, slides well too.
 
What happened to the free carpack they released on the 360 including the Nissan Skyline and the Audi RS, and didn't they later release a Lamborghini Countach and a few more. :(
 
do you have to unlock the tuners?

i cant seem to find them, i went to the italian tuner to try and boost my f430 but it said locked?

THeres a lexus garage thats locked atm, due to open in a patch. New cars willcome, just gotot wait to see what

You need to find the Fonza Tuner.

There are 7 tuners in total.

The British one that tunes lotus took me ages to find and i had the map open
 
bin playing a lot over the weekend, got a couple fo cars now, and ive seen more people! i saw about 8 in total over the weekend but i had to drive a mile to get to them, and when i got there half of them seemed to be driving around sticking to the speedlimits an stoping for lights (wtf i say) challenge to a race and he say no :(.

got me a alfa rameo 3.2 gt
a tuned mustang now a seleen
a gt500
and a caterham 7.

few things i hate, delivering a car and doing 10 miles then crashing within 1 mileof the goal :( , then starting again.

seeing people on the map and there name, geting to them to find no car. or see people lag past u.

needs a patch i think

finding it a bit hard to make cash fast, ive been repeating a race for 10,000 to reach 140mph on twisty road, but i jus turn round and use the highway right behind, easy money.

edit ** at what level do u get to purchase bikes? im lvl 3 at mo

Yea, this is weird. I find if you 'focus' on one area of a map in the viewer and GPS target another car however, on the 1st or 2nd attempt they'll appear to you.

I've got a Saleen as well - it is true about what they say on Top Gear about them being a little unwieldy at the limits :D

You need to visit all the car showrooms (some very remote) and then once you have visited everyone it will allow you to purchase bikes. On your map it shows the car showrooms they are slightly faded out if you have not visited them. When visited they should be a non-faded black and white square.

BTW for the car delivery challenges, I have managed to get two perfect drives and my advice is use the outside view (as you tend to stick further from each car) and don't drive above 70. Oh and stop at every traffic light, it takes time but a $45,000 on $90,000 is worth it.

Aye this is the most annoying of all, but $100,000+ for a perfect delivery is very tempting. Hitchhikers are more difficult cuz you are timed but then all you get for perfect is 1 extra lousy voucher for clothe so it doesn't really matter.

Think you need to go round the island and visit all car showrooms at least once to gain access to bikes.

I've been messing around since release day trying to get this game stable, tried several drivers and with a LOT pf perseverence have it running nice and smooth on a 7800GT, I'm using these 94.20 drivers.

Triple buffering seems unavailable for some reason in the control panel so against my usual preference I have disabled v-sync, due to the frame rates being under my refresh rate 85Hz I rarely get any tearing except for when I collide with a lampost or building, in my opinion if I do that then I deserve a little visual discomfort.

edit-the performance with these drivers is better than any other I've tried and that is without any overclocking :cool:

Not sure what card you have but my lockups have ceaed since using these drivers. If it's an ATI card then I have no advise. Sorry.


What is the screenshot key or is everyone using fraps or similar?

press P to pause the game (not escape) and it will give you a menu to take photos. You can rotate, tilt, etc as well as add in depth of field, contrast, saturation effects as well.
 
Easiet way is to hit "Print Screen Key" next tro scroll lock. or F10 for Fraps.

Mind you though if you have more than one screen you need to press Alt+Print Screen to screen shot the current active window otherwise it will print all your screens next to each other.

Whats the rest of your pc? (nforce/drivers? for reference!)
Anyway I'll try these drivers as I'm currently on the latest officials and was on some higher betas before.

Well, thats if i can revive my pc (xfi came today and froze at 81% and now my pc wont work... joy, format time prolly)

But yeah ill give that a whirl :) Thanks! YOu shall continue to help me in this quest :D
