hmm, i rmemeber my first race i didnt see it, then looked around on my second race and it was there.
Called myself a prat for not seeing it, but swore it wasnt there before hand.
Mybe have to do something to get it? :/

I've tried several different races and sometimes the 'change status' option is there and others the 'change vehicle' option is there. I guess I was using the wrong vehicle for the race or something? Ah well, the online racing is so much more fun than the single player challenges

i've just been working on my single player missions and exploring the map, but whilst exploring the map, i ended up having a nice little blast along the road with someone, 220mph (i didnt even realise till i looked) side by side, certainly put a grin on my face.
up until now i hadnt really paid much attention to the online side of things, but never realised how much fun justr messing about could be, if any of you guys are meeting up somewhere just say wheer and when i'll come along, just look out for WeeSteve45, my garage is expanding not sure what i'll be driving but my usual runaround is my red 430.

well i got bored and foolishy wasted my money on a stage 3 tune up of my caterham, do love that car, used it to burn round most of the island...some lovely straigh (and flat!!!) roads in the n/nw of the island...didnt have to worry about my car flying off the road

should really earn some more money and get a "proper" car, any recomendations?

How?

In Wahiawa (about half way down, between the large green area and the large sandy area). There's a speed challenge, 180mph in heavy traffic. It's $70,000 for gold, repeat a few times and bang $1,000,000. There may be a better one, but I'm currently trying to drive around the entire island and cover every road, so I haven't been looking.

I think im gonna wait for a cheap A and B class car, would love to have that 3 million classic aston martin or the shelby daytona. Not fast, but lovely looking classics. Thats why i want a cheap fast car, because if i blow a lot on a nice car i can't complete more missions (not fast enough nor the right grade).

There is mission i found which does the length of the island (about 31miles) and you get 120,000 for doing it under 20mins. I did it in a standard chevolet corvette (c-class max - 170mph) and did it with 2mins to spare. Think it has no class restriction so its a quick and repeatable 120k.

Uninstalled beta, installed vanilla - never asked for CD key when installing vanilla. Runs fine offline, but can't join online!

Is there some 'profile' folder lurking somewhere or some file...?

Yes but you can't quick travel to anywhere you haven't visited yet.

The CD Key file is kept in Documents & Settings/All Users/Application Data/Test Drive Unlimited/CDKey.txt

Put XXXX in place of the final 4 digits and you'll be asked to enter your cd key again.

I got to champion yesterday and now I'm just a bit bored can make money easy and most of the high-end cars are boring.
I was that bored earlier that I went shopping for a new house (got one with a sea view) and I even went shopping for outrageous clothes. Bought a pink sleeveless t-shirt and some bermuda shorts.
