woo i've updated it now to use datepicker. if anyone has the time please feel free to do a test run for me as i can't check what it'll be like on mac devices.

The datepicker works for me (windows 8 + chrome).
I can still submit it without filling in the date though - did you just get another 01/01/1970?

i got the date for todays date which i assume you input? did you notice where it says the date is optional?
