Testing SSD for errors

Think my Crucial CT64M225 has died on me mid Skyrim

I was getting a couple of BSOD's on anew windows install before installing steam and thought it was driver related.

Requested an RMA but what Can I use to test the drives health?

I have connected it to a caddy bit ots not seen

Its seen in the main PC bios

Is there a util I can boot from USB stick that will check SSD's?

SSDLife Free will check SMART data etc. for you.

If it's a new install then just run HDDErase 3.3 and try re-installing. Crucial forum has a lot of info on this.
