Text messaging is destroying conversation

You ever use any of them on msn to me and I WILL block you. You use enough of them already  :p (I didn't mean the :p , but the  was far too serious)

That's different! That kind of thing actually works as a cartoon though, things like having animated asterisks and exclamation marks and LOLs are just.... arrrgh

i think it's called talk n walk or walk n talk or something like that. A lot of people have that service in the US and it's quite good. Some UK phone are equipped with it, but the service isn't available here.
Push to talk :)
Iirc Orange or Vodafone had a brief trial of it, can't remember which off the top of my head.

I agree with Otacon btw. I think it may be partly because if you tend to overanalyse things (which many of us are guilty of at some point), the message is right there in front of you (rather than a memory of the conversation) so you can spend forever 'figuring' it out when really it should be just taken at face value.
I've done it in the past and friends have too.

I tend to just use text messages for small, minor things for the most part. I phone otherwise. Although that's increasingly rare these days :/

oh yes... many , many bad things have happened over text :s

but one or two very... good.. things too ;)

TBH language skills are poor nowadays, just been watching are you bieng served?

Did they really speak like that in those days?

I hate msn over the top emoticons too, particularly the ones for each letter! I dont mind the odd smiley, or infact some kinda funny cute moving ones i have, but no, i cant talk to someone who has an emoticon for each word, its an epileptic fit waiting to happen!
