TF2 Awash with Hackers?

saw 3/4 aimbot hackers yesterday after 10min of it the whole blue team left the server with just me and my mate playing lol even managed headshots in invisible spys  was not happy days

Go Cry, Emo Kid!

And seriously, just because someone is good doesnt mean they are hacking. The Scout/Bat trick is actually very rewarding. Nobody seems to notice when they get smacked in the back of the head by a scout. Ive lost count the ammount of heavies ive beated down from full health with one!

15 kills in 5 seconds is not being good, and is not due to people not noticing.

And it didnt happen once. it happened every time they spawned.

It's easy for you to sit there playing devils advocate, but there is a big difference between blatant hacking and being good. I know the difference between them and a quick search on google and youtube will show you just how many cheats are around and easily available. cs-hacked.com had thousands and thousands of members during 1.6 and i dont see why that can't have carried over.
I'm a good player. I spend far too much time playing FPS games and i'm good at them. I get banned for hacking (not very often, but it's happend) for being a good player. It's not even brag-worthy. The point of this post was that these guys were cheating. They were, wether you want to hear it or not. My question was if anybody else had noticed it, not wether you think it is or isnt true.

I've seen a few hacks in tf2. Mainly snipers though - and I snipe a lot so can tell quite easily. Is very annoying but not very common.

So how many actually good players do you play with? As the majority dont often play on publics at all, i ask because it seems like you havent seen REALLY good players. Also exaggerating is not cool, unless it was custom maps i dont believe you at all ;)

I don't see why it's so hard to believe that hackers exist on servers...

I also know how to play FPS games and though I'm not by any means great at TF2 (didn't get into it), it was quite clear that some people *were* hacking on the servers I was on.

Finding decent servers with active admins is indeed the best bet to avoid it though, I agree.

Possibly because ive seen that 99% of cheat accusations are actually wrong, ive only ever seen 2 cheats on tf2 and both were because i heard someone was cheating on a server so i went to go and have a look, never just happened to bump in to one and i have played tf2 a LOT. Been called a cheat in tf2 many a time too so you get the picture.

I've had the same happen to me in various games and I agree, the false accusations do get somewhat tiring. The hackers i saw in TF2 were incredibly blatent though - they weren't just playing 'well' but were literally running around at 2x/3x the speed of the scouts and were kicking arse.

Record a demo next time your on a server and this happens so we can all see.

I've also not seen any (blatent) hacking and I've been playing since launch, perhaps I'm just lucky.

Been playing for awhile and only hacking I have seen is a sniperbot who was kicked pretty quickly by an admin. I don't think hacking is a real problem in TF2 right now.

I've only ever seen it once, in CS a guy was running forward, 4 of us came round the corner he sun 180 deg and got 4 headshots whilst typing "i cant be killed ahahahaha!"

Although i suspect a LOT of people :P mostly it's me having sour grapes at a higher skilled more experienced player (and i'm mature enough to accept this fact). Sometimes i ground myself and think of the amazingly dodgy things i've done before and how it looks (and how they must laugh when i fail in the most spectacular way!)

While i agree it can spoil a game, that's only if you let it.

Hi, please quote the whole of my posts and not just the parts you can argue against.

I can't follow your post, i'm not sure what you're referring to when you say "i dont believe you at all". In any case i'm not asking you to "believe" me, because i couldn't give to humps what you think. Go play on your private servers with your elite mates. If that was the case, i dont see why you're even in a thread about hacking on public servers, as you obviously never experience it on your private servers where everyone is a Pr0.

Edit: If really good players only play on private servers, according to your logic, they obviously wern't really good players, because it was a public server.

naivety is a wonderful thing

Go find a good community where they have a Ts/vent with an admins on. that + in game admins most of the time + vote ban and make a demo demo and post it on forum.

dunno if there are many places like that for tf2 as i don;t play it much, but as long as you're willing to find a good place an get on teamspeek there are loads on css.
