TF2 Demoman Frag Video

R3 trailer is amazing!! and its clearly RTCW that takes the crown for best team based muliplayer game ever!
 
Great video, What did you use to original capture the clips of TF2. The source recorder?

Been finding it abit tricky, whenever I capure from it the avi seems stuttery.

Yes... Frag videos are generally just a collection of peoples best moments! No surprise there. They do the same on TV with collections of spectacular moments. Theyre not there to prove how pr0 people are, theyre there for the entertainment value!



As for Spawn camping and backtracking/attackers shooting each other, well thats just TF2. TFC was largely a CTF game and the code which meant that attackers generally left each other alone made the game more fun.

I think TF2 CTF maps would be more fun if we played like this but generally speaking, TF2 is more about CP maps where the free for all style works well and encourages more teamwork I find. If you cant run off on your own or in a pair to wtfpwn everything, youre more likely to try to work together :) Either that or lose!

true mirage, but the game is getting better. i installed it when it was first released and quickly uninstalled it. i got heckled into trying 2.1 which was released about 4 months ago and its pretty good now.

while the following video is pretty poor, there is hardly a large amount of videos available displaying the movement and mechanics. plus if youve never played tfc u will probably not appreciate the gameplay regardless but anyway

That has to be the old caesium, the precision and skill. Damn the games getting popular now it seems.

I agree 2.1 is far better but I believe the damage has been done with regards to the community and other competition with games. I think the team need to actively market the game again, get it onto Steam advertising, etc.

Am I wrong in guessing you are Wlz btw? :p

I actually just used fraps, set to 60fps, but as you can tell sometimes the framerate drops in the movie.

I have been experimenting with startmovie commands and the results look promising (much smoother)

try:

host_framerate 100
startmovie moviename

then use virtualDub to manually stick the screenshots together, remember to set a manual framerate of 100. Add the audio file and that should give you a nice smooth video.
 
yes its me! hehe, im assuming you are oh yeh mirage, or is it choo? you could even be on my steam list :p

well 2.2 is being released imminently (but that will be just some balancing issues), and yes tho whole community is anticipating the game being released as a straight download through steamworks to generate some popularity. there's a league going atm and some active clans, and the pickup channel is reletively busy.

do we know teki as well? :p
