TF2 Engineer Update

Yeah, it's good they are supporting it, but in all honesty i'm waiting for the polycount pack more than the Engineer update. Some of those were amazing, and i can't wait to get some of those bits and bobs :D
 
Only issue with these is that I probably won't play engineer for a few weeks until the achievement whore crowd finish off their stuff :D
 
pretty awesome valve continue to offer support and updates to a game. Will only have a look in a month or so when the crowd dies down :)
 
Looking forward to this! Will have to wait a while to play it sadly. Once again, I miss out on an update when I'm not with my PC. Missing it already :( Is it sad that I miss my PC? :p lol
 
The new shotgun looks awesome. Great way for engies to hold some ground when their sentry goes down.

The remote sentry gadget looks sweet as well.

I love Valve :D
 
I wonder if there will be a ammo / reload thing going on when you directly control the sentry, seems a bit op to be able to lay down constant fire on a choke point or something...
 
Well you have to get the sentry up on a choke point first which won't be easy and this will leave you exposed to spy attacks more than ever since you can't defend your assets.
 
when does this update go live? I love engineer so will be playing it even more!

Probably Thursday, maybe Friday though.

The new sentry control thingy looks interesting, wonder how it'll work control wise if it'll be first person from the sentry (whats to stop you hiding in the spawn room, though there could be a range limit) or from your own view (will be a lot harder to aim in most cases + makes you vulnerable but kinda justifies the shield + double fire rate).

Either way two engies at a choke point, one controlling their sentry another feeding it with ammo as well as their own auto sentry + a little support to check for spys etc will be pretty hard to dig out. Single ubers will be knocked back and about to much by the manual sentry to take them out (no more medic distracting the sentry) same for scout bonk distractions , spies can be easily defended by a semi competent team who is looking out for them, which really only leaves demomen getting into a position to take them out out of line of site, which is the easiest way to take out sentries anyway but 2-3+ sentries spread out a bit usually makes it inefficient and of course multiple ubers/mass rushes.
