TF2 - ocuk clan Try number 2? <3

ATM the server is dustbowl, goldrush & badwater. Steel has been set nextmap a lot. Gravel pit a couple of times. lazytown once so far, badlands once, turbine once. pl_dustbowl twice and boulder_v2 once.

I will defo add gravelpit into rotation, maybe another. I only have 3 maps in cycle atm to keep it busy, to get the ip out there. 2fort in not so keen on unless snipers and engys are limited. otherwise its a camp fest and like watching paint dry.

As for admins, theres me, necro and link so, with a couple more guys to follow. when i get time ill add it.

As for camping I odnt mind and certainly dont kick for it. I see it as part of the game and signs of a really poor team that get spawned in. :) fight your way out I say :P
 
If your teams working together spawn camping shouldn't be a problem :D

Very true, but each time this happens I notice we quickly start to lose people off the server and others depart as the numbers drop, a combination of frustration and annoyance I guess :mad:
 
Thankfully ive only been on the teams doing the camping with a good medic to keep it that way ;) Quite funny when were all at one door and the other team dont even try to get out of one of the others.
 
Have had quite a bit of fun sniping on here. I should play other classes for a while until the Sniper patch comes out, tried Pyro but I just can't get the same kinda scores..regularly pick off four, five people in a quick fire row as a sniper though.
 
The less snipers and spys the better. Im sure forhead has a 'snipe me' tatoo on it, and back of my shirt says 'stab me'. I must be at the top of someones snipe/stab count :D

I do try to take a positive look on it though. If ta all trying to stab/snipe me, it means the rest of the team can get the job done ;)
 
Well heavies do have that enticing forehead, its especially fun when its up close and personal, nothing beats HS'ing a heavy from 3 feet away.
 
When we get the server full tonight, can i have some volunteers to test out class limits? say 8pm

***Before anyone goes mental, im not restricting for every map!! Only for 2fort, ctf_Well and pl_dsutbowl.***

My intention is to set 2 sniper and 2 engi limit for those maps only All other maps have no class limits what so ever

Any reason why you went for pl_dustbowl over db_heights?

Good!! If people are going to leave just because they are getting owned then good riddance. If they can't organise their team to counter the camping or if they can't even be bothered waiting for the end of the round then i'd prefer it if they played elsewhere :p

I've not played TF2 all weekend and i'm now only just in the top50 - you boys have been busy!! :D I'll have to find an hour or two this week to get back in the top10 ;)

Ive been here, and done this. My advice, which has been proven to work, is to set a global limit of 3 per class across all the maps. When youre dealing with a team size of 12 it means you'll have a minimum of 4 classes on the team which is fine.

No team should need more than 3 of a class but less than 3 is a bit harsh imo.

What does interest me though is why you chose engineers and snipers, i cant think why 3 engineers is a terrible thing as one uber can easily destroy 2 sentries. Snipers though, limited to 2 because of good snipers annoying people or bad snipers failing to be useful? If its the good one then a decent spy can easily ruin a pair of snipers, its just a vast majority of people on a public dont think about things like that :\

exactly, everyone becomes sniper or engi on 2fort and then its a boring campfest.

As i say its only for those maps listed.
 
I think you misunderstand, i think some limits are a good idea and the limit of 3 actually works well for all maps. I hate seeing 5 snipers on my team and i'm usually the first to switch to another class even though it means 2 or 3 snipers will be useless :(

Also im like top on demo and pretty high on spy right now ;) its just a shame there are no scoutable maps in the rotation as thats the class im actually good at.
