TF2 - ocuk clan Try number 2? <3

Right, what is this "demo spam" you speak of?

Too many demo's & stickies obviously, they're way too overpowered, when I play like demo it's also way too easy, but I just hate it (their playing style) too much to play like demo a lot...

Stickies should be less powerful... And demo's easier to kill...

I find the Demo to be very vunerable myself.

You've got no "instant action" weapon, if you see somebody you have to hope they stay still long enough for the pipebomb to get there and explode, else you dump all 4 bombs at somebody and they take a 50 point health hit because they weren't there when the bombs landed. Meanwhile you're open and weaponless while you reload and they move in and splat you. Sure you can get a 1 hit kill if you hit somebody in the face with one, but most peaple just get thrown around the map.

This is why the secondary weapon has a bit of poke to it, to make up for the primary weapon being poo.

Demos can be very easy to kill. In 6v6 matches good Scouts can run rings around Demos all day. In pub I can see why people dislike them, but I don't think there's a problem with them.

Yep, they don't have shotgun or similar so quick characters or long range ones can get them.

I found a bug!

I tried to change from sniper to soldier just as i was respawning and i spawned as both, sort of. Didn't notice it until somebody asked me "how do you do that?" Turns out i was a soldier according to my outward skin and the icon in the bottom left, but i had the sniper weapons and sniper hands.

Still got killed though :(
I've seen that once too, an Engineer with the Demo weapons - was funny to see :)

I don't play much demo but wouldn't a demo nurf increase the power of the already annoying sentries, meaning your even more likely to run into an area with 5 of the things to blast you all over the map without you being able to do a damn thing about it.

Fair point, a demoman is one of the better solutions open to a team to take down a sentry farm.

The demoman being OP'ed is only an issue in payload maps where the attackers are forced to cluster around the payload I reckon. A simple demo class limit of 3 like OcUK has is a good middle ground IMO, maybe even putting the limit to two demos on payload maps would reduce the problem?

I've just bought this game, did not realise that it can only be played through Steam. Is gonna be about an hour before I finally get to play it because of the updates it insists on downloading! I hope it is worth the wait.

I think any class (if played well) can become a pain! I believe that of all the classes the demo is one of the least annoying, close up they're pretty useless as it takes a well aimed shot to hit someone with a pipebomb. I would say that sniper/pyros are the most annoying as if you get within their respective range other classes often dont stand a chance
