TF2 problem

screeny off my BIOS, apparently press Ctrl and F1 brings up a new menu in M.I.T for the timings, but I can't see it

Forgot to mention I don't think its a hardware issue as I played HL2 about a month ago on vista, and it played fine.

masterk, this is the bottom off that BIOS screeny, you might be able to see what option it is that I need.

Iam guessing it might be 'system voltage control'?

Thanks again

Changed the timings to 4-4-4-12, not changed 'DRAM voltage' as I can't find the option.

Tried running TF2, crashed as norm then a blue screen something like 'blue screen more or less iqual' didnt see it quick enough as it rebooted.

Tried Crysis, then this blue screen,

then managed to get into the desktop then hung with this screeny

then the above blue screen now keeps coming up just before I get into the desktop. :(

If you go into the Event viewer after you have a crash have a look under tha 'Application' and the 'System' logs and see if anything is flagged up with a Red error icon.

Just tried TF2 again, guess what.....same problem

Looking in Event viewer in system this is shown,

Dunno if its much help?!

Will try the Orthos testing next then!

Took out my gfx card this morning and cleaned the fan, wasnt that much dust in it anyway.

Anyone have any other ideas, starting to run out off ideas now :(

any! wow ermmm, thats truly odd, as orthos runs fine for an hour, but you can't load a game!

Do you have a spare gfx card laying about! Yours might be knackered!

Well ive tried Crysis, HL2 and TF2 all dont want to play.

Iam sure my gfx card is ok, as I was running X32 vista last month and played HL2 fine.

Not got a spare card to try.

Just tried running everest,

everest and rthdribl

First time I tried it pc crashed like when the games do, second I only had rthdribl running for a about 2minutes.

Gutted if its the card, was fine running HL2 few weeks back.

see how long it can run this dribble program for :) if it cant do it forever, then i'm afraid it does sound a lot like a card failure, if so, you need to start looking at warranties and what not

Yeah will do, thanks. Will try to borrow a card off a mate first to check its defo my card.

Brought the card second hand anyway, iam guessing that I wouldn't be able to get a replacement for it from ATI?

Sorry to bring this uo again, but this may come in useful to other users. A friend came round and lend me his X700Pro, tried the games still same problem. So I knew it wasnt a GFX card problem. He closed NOD32 and the vista firewall and both the game ran ok!

Wooop. Dunno why I didnt think of this, surprised no-one off here did either tbh. Ah well its generally a simple thing!

Will leave this card in for the mo, as I want to benchmark the X700Pro with my X1950Pro, whats the best software to do this?
