TF2 Sniper Update

I try and play team sniper, yea I do have sniper duels, but I will also defend the intel and shoot incoming enemies

Well at least that's more in tune with the objectives of the team (by that i mean it's a form of defence). It's just, as i say, it's so boring, frustrating and, dare i say it, lame to be on the receiving end of it. To be killed by someone you can't even see when you want to get in there and cause a good old-fashioned ruckus just isn't what TF2 is about imo. In other games i totally accept snipers, i've just always felt team fortress should be about huge explosions and bullets flying all over the shop, the sniper is pretty much the opposite.

This is only my opinion and by no means am i slagging off anyone who plays snipers, i'm just explaining why i dislike their inclusion in TF2. I totally accept that i am effectively winging :p

The same can be said of spies though.

My favourite class is the Pyro or Engineer.

Nothing like having a well placed sentry racking up the kills. :p

I'm mainly a defensive player.

Just had loads of people hate me on the hampshire heavies server, unlocked the rare spy hat :o

I really should play as spy, might unlock my much sought after sniper items...

Got every spy item now from playing sniper :(

I got the rare spy hat as well.. Shame I never, ever, play Spy. I also dont seem to see it on me when I do and die, even though its equipped.

Mine is filling up, what happens when all the boxes are full?

I've got the huntsman. It's OK but the regular sniper rifle is better.

I like how pyros can set the arrows on fire though. No idea if flaming arrows do more damage. :D

He's got the razorback. :)

I want the huntsman though. :(

Ah fiddlesticks, I want razorback!!!! But I Also want huntsman!!!

Well, should be another successful 15hrs of idling by end of today, might be lucky, who knows :D

(Anyone checking my TF2 played time for next two weeks is going to assume I have no life outside Dustbowl, Goldrush, 2Fort, Pipeline, Etc :D)

Flaming arrows add a DOT effect to the target. If the DOT kills the target though and not the initial arrow strike, the pyro gets the kill not the sniper.

I'm probably being an idiot here (I usually am) but what does DOT mean?

PK!

Damage Over Time.

Like the Pyro damage... more commonly used in MMO's tbh, for spells you cast tha rather than do 4000 damage in one hit, they do 4,000 damage over 10 seconds at 400/sec.
