TF2 Sniper Update

They come out one by one, these things are of exceptional quality and take some time. They are a brilliant way to keep the TF2 community pumped and bring in new customers. They did not all come out with TF2, Medic and Pyro are all that is left. Pyro just has to be epic now, with all the speculation.

What I find interesting isn't the quality of the CGI (incredible), but that this "Meet the" is in a different format, all the others are in a sort of documentary style, but the spy never talks to the camera.

Anyway, I wouldn't read too much into it, Valve just seem to be learning. They probably have different writers too.
 
I just love the way he says 'that would be your mother' :)
Going by this standard the Medic and Pyro shorts should be awesome.

The Pyro short better have some Spy burning going on too.

I doubt the sappers are throwable, some of the vids in the past have shown stuff thats not possible in game. The demoman vid shows a sentry trying to take out the grenades that are bouncing along towards it for instance.

That vid was probably the best of the lot but did anyone else think it had a different look to it? Looked a lot grittier and more like a cgi movie where in the past most of the vids look very similar to in engine graphics.

They could make the throwable sappers only deactivate sentries, i.e. not destroy them, as a trade-off.

I'm at work so can't really watch the official Meet the Spy vid, did Valve slip in anything new in it or is it a carbon-copy (sans "Act Surprised") of the leaked ones already floating around on YT?

Considering the spy has had some tweaks already in the form of replenishing cloak with ammo, I would have thought that they make this update a chalk & cheese update with having spies AND snipers!

We can hope I suppose!

Not sure as we haven't had any update sniper achievments.

Maybe we will tho.

There's still another three days so that leaves a day for one more Spy weapon and a day for a new Sniper weapon and achievements, then released on the third day.

I think.
 
So what, they uploaded the video to YouTube but forgot to set it as private? that's how it got leaked? And then they gave themselves an achievement for it? haha. good work.
 
Oh wait, no, they uplaoded it to YouTube, set it to private, then one of their "trusted" group leaked it himself.

Shame, but at least they've made light of it :D
 
Love the Spy vid but i still have fingers crossed that we see a sniper update.

It's my least played class but after watching a few Utube vids i might give him another go.
