TF2 Sniper Update

Just played on a server where I was the only person that wasn't a sniper or a spy
Go Pyro and burn the lot of them! AHAHAHAHAHAH that's what I did earlier.
I played for about 1½ hours and didn't get any unlocks, where as other people seemed to be getting them all the time. I saw some Jarate and Huntsmen fired lots of spying, got killed by the Ambassador. I killed people using the new weapons as well but didnt get them so I don't think it's 'viral' I didnt pick them up from their corpse.
Got a few Sniper Achievos.
Cant say that I saw any different hats but I wasn't really looking.

Cant wait to get home. I love sniping and coming from CSS and the AWP, TF2 is easy as.. so much prey.. waiting..
Perfect time for those Scout unlocks
You wont be unlocking anything by farming or skill, since each items now a random award for doing nothing, during any game, any map, any class. Hell I've even seen afk players standing in spawn earn an unlock.

So can you get spy unlockables if you play the heavy for example?

YesThe unlocks are totally random I believe.
Why oh why did they do that?!

sniping in TF2 is so easy
i had a play on CSS the other day (not played for a few years) and had forgotten how different it is

Getting a spy slot, my current class of choice is going to be tricky on the servers I play on dues to class limits, which in all fairness is a great system, just not on update days
Infact, getting on servers is a nightmare in itself at the moment :>

Played a few games this morning and its great fun being a 'clever' spy with all the new players and snipers hehe or just going scout and beasting everyone. Also everyone is incredibly on edge about spys right now, which can be usful and funny in cases.
Not a big fan of the unlock system, ive seen people in the warm up period get them, got a feeling people may just sit afk on servers for a while to get them while they are away. I would prefer if it was somthing like you have a very small chance, say 5% maybe, of getting them when you do somthing 'impressive' based on your class like as a medic heal over 5000hp in one life, backstab x amount of people etc. So while it isnt as bad as seening heavys throw themselves off cliffs and run to medic packs etc to get achievments, it instead is a rare reward for doing your class job.

When wild forest fires become really bad the military have used Fuel-Air Bombs to put out the fires.
The explosion itself basically consumes all of the oxygen. Without oxygen the wild fire burns itself out.
