That time of year. John Lewis Ad 2022

I quite liked that (this year's ad).

My fave though will always be Man on the Moon.

My least fave was the one about the dog (or fox?) jumping on the trampoline. That's because videos of owner' dogs jumping on trampolines got plastered all over the internet in response to the ad.
 
I was expecting he was learning to skate as his son / daughter was getting a board when the reveal came it was far more powerful.

It's great that JL aren't doing adverts just to sell a toy / merch to go with it anymore.

Getting closer to the early 90s ads where they just wished you happy holidays.
 
yes much better than their usual narcissistic adds ... neither of the couple were wearing additional clothing in the house !
 
Maybe if John Lewis put this level of effort into improving it's commercial operations as it does with it's Christmas adverts they would improve their financial performance.

I usually skip the ads - most tv I playback on my Sky Q.

The most annoying ad is Daisy, Daisy, Daisy,

Not a lot in it over the years, give or take a few days to coincide with the TV programme it's launched on our day of the week with the best TV ratings. John Lewis's adverts over the years:

2018: November 15
2019: Novemebr 14
2020: November 13
2021: November 4
2022: November 10
