How do you feel about people talking to you (or you talking) in CAPITAL LETTERS, like on msn etc. Does it do your head in, do you find it acceptable, or perhaps even more stimulating than talking in lower case?

In which case, use caps all the time, mate. Even when in a bar/club.

No-one has ever tried MSN'ing me with capital letters. They would get blocked if they did.

Queue a load of people MSN'ing me in caps

One of my suppliers hasn't found the caps lock or any of the punctuation keys yet, and always sends me emails in capital letters. I read it like he's shouting at me "HI THE TOOLING IS READY TO COLLECT WOULD THURSDAY BE OK?" I usually reply in caps too. "YES. THANK YOU VERY MUCH". He's quite loud on the phone too, so perhaps he really is shouting.

Emails sent entirely in caps annoy me. To prove a point a couple of years back I moaned at one of the girls in the office about it, pointing out that it made the emails very hard to read and looked unprofessional. She didn't stop so I levered her caps lock key off with a screw driver and didn't give it back to her for a couple of weeks.

Her emails had capital letters in the right place after that.
