That was a serious thread

So, you guys are telling me you've never typed an e-mail out quickly without really thinking about appearance, only to discover that you accidentally had your cAPS LOCK KEY ON?

...No. I look at the monitor as I type.

Stickycaps should result in instant death-in-the-face.

I have to agree :p

I very rarely, if ever have to look at the keyboard while typing anymore. People who make that mistake are probably 13 and still on dial-up.

No, never. I always re-read my messages before I send them, and if I had left the Caps Lock on, I'd go back and re-write it.
I wish there was a button the keyboardd that could just swap the case over through all the selected text....

-or is someone going to tell me you can already do this?-

There is a difference between accidentally sending an email in caps and sending all your emails in caps though.

But no, never. Even with an email, appearance is important. If I haven't got time to write it properly, then I won't bother.

Its plain annoying. If I type an email in caps first I'll swear then re-write it. Its shouting, the only times I use caps is when trying to emphasis a point (which can be harder in text form compared to vocal) eg:

are you REALLY sure?

Or something similiar, thats rare too.

I know there is definetely a way to do it in Word...not that I can remember how :p

There is no need to re-write just select all and uncapp it all in one go.
I use the odd capital letter to empthasise the meaning and get the point over.
I never over use it in my opinion.
Sometimes i must say the critisism gets me down here i mean i put a lot of effort into my posts and feel i have continually improved my grammar and writing style.
This thread surely is just another oppurtunity for a few to get together in a little high and mighty better than thow (sp?) trip.
I understand the need to be able to read peoples posts how they meant them but other than that i ignore minor mistakes etc.
What makes me really laugh are those critics that then go on to post or start immature threads about crap totally unrelated to anything intelligent or debatable.
Ok so you can spell properly and do grammar Big ******* deal.
