The £10 Challenge

"Reserve to full" on my bike is only about £15 at current prices, even if I give it a bit more "throttle" than I did during this test I get 130-140 miles until the light comes on.

That's still over 40mpg.

That's easy just buy a 1 litre+ sports bike and ride it like a nob

Finally got round to doing this, I managed 92 miles on a tenner at my most economical driving ever at 49mpg! this was in one journey though.

I never got round to doing this and now the price of fuel has gone up from when the thread started its a little pointless. Maybe do it on a set amount of litres

That's why I put the litres in my post, it was just under 9 litres so approx 2 gallons.
£1.12 per litre, so 8.93 litres.

ERM.... I can't fit £10 in my tank but can i fill up as much as i can and then re-fill up with the remainder of the £10?

Think I'm getting mid 90 miles now,do it however you want as long as you only put a tenner in from reserve

My Speed Triple did 75 miles on £8 which I was quite impressed with considering the advertised MPG. I reckon I could squeeze 100 out of £10.

last weekend I clocked 243 miles again and this time I hadn't hit reserve, was close to though, as I put 18 litres in to brim it and the tank holds 22

it did indeed, I ride a Honda PCX 125 ESP.
has great MPG helped by having auto start / stop for when you're sat at the lights / junctions.

I got 55 miles lol

I get about 40mpg but use super unleaded so this means I get less litres per quid.
