Pretty cool idea that. What's your plan of attack; just a casual 7 hour deadlifting session?:D

Something like that. The exercises we're setting up are I think dead lift, leg press, bench, rack pull and some cable stuff. Main problem is not having enough space for everyone to be lifting at the same time!

I'm on the team, it won't be a problem :p


After my normal friday session I have about 34000kg left. Mostly leg pressing with some bonus deadlifts should make it very do-able.

Probably, depends how strong these guys are. Otherwise it's going to be a lot of reps :p

There are a number of seriously strong guys on the team but everyone is chipping in. 100KG leg press for 10 reps is easy enough as a set for most people so we'll probably just try to do as many sets as possible. Hopefully 15-20 for me I guess.

Problem with going super heavy is that the reps per set crashes pretty quick. 100KG for 5 reps on bench is still less than 10 reps at 60KG which is a lot easier so going light and keeping the reps high is the way we'll manage it.

We've raised £1100 so far plus another £200 from gift aid so it's certainly worth it!

just to clarify 40,000 tonnes each would be 40million kg each

It'll last you ageeeees. I only needed 3g of each (one 5cc scoop) which is roughly what you get in a pre workout anyway.
 
So the dipping belt at my gym has broke already :o.

Only did two sets of dips, then DB benched 32.5kg for a set of 5 which felt easy then did37.5kg for 2 sets of 5. I forget how much easier benching is when you dont do 5+ sets of dips beforehand :p.

Hurt my right wrist a little though, hopefully it'll be ok by tommorow/next week want to get a couple sets of 40kg x5 soon at my lower bodyweight :p.
 
Joined my local DW gym today, went today for 2 hours, just getting to know the layout, seems pretty good loads of weights and carido, never seen as many running machines most have at least 30+, first time I have been a member at a gym in 3 years.
 
Pre WO's tend to be like the blow you'd buy from 'Big Dave' down the Alley next to the Co-Op. Cut about 16 times and higher in flour and icing sugar than actual narcotics.

Pure ingredients for the win :)

I have no experience of using drugs or buying from Big Dave. let alone snorting confectionery ingredients.
 
Oh dear god!

My back and arms are still covered in DOMS!

This super heavy and volume stuff is mental! Bicep doms are horrible mixed with tricep ones.

I can't straighten my arms without feeling it.
 
I had a good session today - but I still have major DOMS from Tuesdays Leg Session :/

No idea what the bar weighed in the Bench Press, so I haven't included it here.

Bench Press: 11 reps @ 30kg / 10 reps @ 30kg / 8 reps @ 32.5kg

Dumb-bell Curls : 8 reps @ 22kg / 6 reps @ 22kg / 4 reps @ 22kg

Dumb-bell Fly : 10 reps @ 36kg / 8 reps @ 36kg / 5 reps @ 22kg

Shoulder Press : 10 reps @ 36kg / 8 reps @ 36kg

Delt Dumb-bell Raise : 10 reps @ 10kg / 8 reps @ 10kg

Shrugs on Machine : 10 reps @ 30kg / 8 reps @ 50kg

Captains Chair : 15 reps / 13 reps / 9 reps / 13 reps

Lat Pull Down Machine : 12 reps @ 17.5kg / 10 reps @ 20.5kg

Rows Machine : 12 reps @ 36kg / 10 reps @ 40kg / 8 reps @ 44kg

Took me ages to type this - still getting used to my new Keyboard!

Edit: Thought I would add that I probably have trained *way* too much...but I'll be splitting up my upper body across two sessions as I was neglecting my whole Upper Body.

Hopefully I'll be able to do Legs and CV on Saturday, if I still don't have Doms - then Tuesday I'll do Chest/Biceps, Thursday will be Triceps & Back.

W00t! Finally weighed in under 100kg, I think probably for the first time in 5+ years. Last Christmas was 133kg.

Gone in a big chunk this week, started at 101.7 sunday. I'll probably sit at this weight for another month then lose 3/4kg in a week again, bloody weird but seems to be what my body does!


Gonna go extra hard on squatz today to celebrate :p.
 
Congrats mate, that's a huge loss for just over a year!


On another note, just got back from the Liftathon. We totally smashed the lifting target, got over 2,000,000kg in the end!

Personal highlights include getting 12 reps out of a 200kg deadlift, and squatting the heaviest guy on the team to double someone's donation :D

Fantastic effort from all the chaps though, some guys volume was just obscene.

Donkey Calve Raises with weight belt ( I go as slow as possible, as far down as possible, then hold 3-5 seconds, then slow up as far as possible hold 3-5 seconds.

Ab Wheel roll outs.
Out all the way, 1-2cm with chest from ground, hold 5 secs and back up.

4 sets of 10 reps.

I had some protein powder with a some carbs mixed in afterwards, and went for a walk with a friend into town.
Leg's are feeling it now alright, stairs are evil, not to mention how hungry I am.

I've got 250g of mixed seafood, plus a large tin of tuna mixed in.
Cooked with chopped yellow and green peppers, onion, tomato and chillies.
Along with a small pot of veg.

Time to eat these future doms away with copious amounts of protein.
