I was trying to buy some jeans today, my waist is 32 inches but I ended up having to buy a 36 waist in loose fit in order to get my thighs in :D

^ uncool
I have to wear belts on every pants I've got :(, it's getting so bad that I need to have the waist adjusted by a tailor on most of them.
Why do people assume that if you've got big legs you automatically need to have a massive beer belly as well.

its only the same with broad shoulders and large chests with 28-32 inch waists :D

^this!

Often to get something that fits across my shoulders and back I end up having to look like I'm wearing a parachute around my middle. Really hard to find a nice t-shirt or shirt without it looking silly.

you need to start buying designer gear,

zara, diesel, ted baker all do slim fit. i think voi and bench do it too.

While we're on the subject, what high-street shops sell "fitting" t-shirts with sleeves that go down further than your shoulders? I'm guessing H&M, Topman etc, but I despise shopping and don't want to go trawling through them if all they sell are "LOOK AT MY BICEPS" t-shirts.

Slim fit stuff is so pointless and uncomfortable.

However tailored stuff is great. Then again like you guys have said buying shirts are normally sold by collar size, 18" neck shirts you end up tucking in half a tent's worth of shirt in. Trousers are the same always go large (38") and get the waist tailored.

You have to bear in mind we haven't got average body sizes. We are disproportionate in the fashion industry.

Then again I know sod all about fashion and care very little about it!

Fiar enough, I guess I got used with the parachute for a long time, and the diference between my waist and chest is only 12" so it's a lot less worse than the pants.

yea, up XL and 42-44inch chests. What about the bigger people?

I don't care about fashion, but an ex of mine insisted on going into town to get me some "cool" clothes (worse nightmare tbh) - anyway nothing fit much to my relief. I was told to go to a "specialist" store! lol! It's not as if I'm massive either :/ Not that I care really - though for work I do like to look smart.

I stopped buying new clothes in my second year of uni. When I go out I like to look good so will occasionally buy new things to wear. However I don't 'stockpile' clothes in my wardrobe like I used to or have lots of variety because finding something that fits nicely and that I feel comfortable wearing is a ballache and very rare.

Edit: Replay t-shirts in a large fit quite nicely for me and don't give a 'parachute'. Diesel are pritty much a size too small. So if like me you're a L you'll need an XL.

I like slim fit clothes :(

Needless to say at the moment I can't wear much of my old clothes. So once the show is out the way I think I will be doing a complete overhaul of my wardrobe

You'll be suprised how well clothes that don't fit now will fit when you've finished cutting. So don't throw anything out just yet. It's probably best to have clothes that fit when you're cut up, when you're bulking and when you've let yourself go!
