hold on. get sweaty, release stress and pent up energy, surrounded by women getting hot and sweaty and wearing not much or revealing clothes.....

some places charge a lot more than gym membership costs for that you know!

:p

Just got back from the gym and had a shower.

For the first time in a while I had the usual 'time to put shampoo on my head, omfg I can't lift my arms above my shoulders so I had to move my head towards to arms to wash my hair :p

I was going chest today so not really sure why my shoulders/arms are so dead! Guess they must be really weak!

Omg my boobies hurt today :(

It's very easy to bring shoulders into chest exercises. I used to do it for ages, and my front delts are so far ahead of the rest of my shoulders.

Work on your form and it will soon improve :)

Guys,

Thinking of buying my own crosstrainer, as when I'm doing cardio I'm going to want to do it early in the morning so I can still get to work normal time, and then late evening.

But it's going to be a hassle going to and from the gym 3 times a day, so if I can get a crosstrainer at home, a decent one, it will be so much easier

Does anyone know if something like this would be ok?

I'm willing to spend £200-300

ordered 3 MP protein samples form Myprotein, one of them says BBE 11/2010, and another one BBE 02/2011.

I know that one of them is technically ok since we're 5 days before February:rolleyes: but the other one 3 months out of date?!

I would have a word... they were selling them for dirt cheap end of last year (i think i bought a load for half price iirc). Got them in my desk at work for "emergencies". Wouldn't have gone near them for £1.50 each.

Hello

No idea if its any good the rebock one, but id also look on:

http://www.fitness-superstore.co.uk/elliptical_trainers/10006_0c.html

Might be something better / cheaper as well :)

Also, how are cross trainers? Do you rate them for cardio work etc?

Yeah, they're not the best, obviously steppers are as they tax the legs so much and just generally use more calories

Cross trainers are considered a close second due to the similar resistance as well as the added benefit of using your arms.

For cardio fitness they might not be great, but calorie burning and fat loss, they're superb

Will check that link out though, cheers :)

Those are some mean squat and deadlift stats!

Cheers man, still a far cry from the big men around here, but progressed a lot in 6 months! Shame my bench is SO far behind! Don't think it's even at 60kg yet, probably 57.5kg or something last time I tried? But because I work alone, I really don't get the opportunity to really push myself with barbells :(

Excellent progress mate :)

A lot of thanks to the forums, but specifically to you mate - you've been damned helpful.

Any way of tracking you down on FaceBook or something so I can bother you with terrible banter from time to time? Sadly none of my mates lift, so don't appreciate my enthusiasm :(

Tried for 150kg deadlift today (still weighing 78kg and looking skinny as)...first went at raw and missed out on the lock out by mm's then my gripped slipped on the negative...i reckon i defo have it in me, il try less volume before hand next time, then went at it again with straps, came up nice and steady locked and back down smoothly! so pleased with this :D i also loving my food right now! my appetite is amazing

I have this same problem! no one understand when i talk about it and then they take the ****

Indeed, I have a couple of people I know i can talk about this...Then i have one mate who's quite fitness heavy, but throwns at me for some of the lifts i do or something and tries to go one above and suggests other things :p

I just want to get back into it, NOW preferably

I’ve got a work colleague who’s quite in to it down in Leeds, and when I mention my legs and shoulders work out, he couldn’t believe it. All that volume for both muscle groups? Legs he could understand, but even then only does 3 sets for each exercise (I pyramid up and down for squats and leg press, heavy, over about 8 sets each) but refused to believe the logic of shoulders responding well to high volume and intensity. Horses for courses I suppose, and it’s great fun having debate with him over it still!

I've got one mates who did Sports Science at uni, and he refuses to believe that products like Jack3D have any effect what-so-ever........
