If they fit in with the rest of your diet macros then yay, stick to the wholemeal ones

Cool, i'm just enjoying them at the moment really, got some chicken im just cooking to throw in there too :)

^^^^^^^^^I see I missed out on a lot of discussion above then? :p

Still training my shoulder, i just want to get back in the garage and train :(

FFS there was no argument! It's a DISCUSSION forum. If you didn't want to get into a discussion don't post, or don't post about things you don't want people to interact with you about! It's that simple!

It's like when women wear a tight top with writing around their boobs and expect people not too look at them!

Seriously dude, chill out and get over it! If you don't like this forum you don't have to post here. However, why cut your nose to spite your face? You've got a lot of really useful info posted. Do with it as you will, but don't complain about the people or the posters on this forum.

Love em, my preference over sandwich and baguettes :)

Tis what I wanted to hear!!! :D:D:D

And Freefaller, couldnt have said it better myself really, i've had nothing but advice since i started posting in these threads...Much rather be posting here than some other forums i know of

Better than bread - though try Food Doctor's multi seed pittas, they have about 10g of protein in each one and are pretty tasty and are wholemeal too. :)

I'll have to check the price first :p

Be a man and drink it. It'll be fine.

Come on, you lift weights, stop being a girl :p

It's powder, it'll be fine :p

Free samples? :D

We'll I'm sure I won't die from it. :D
It's just that having paid a ridiculosuly £1.50 per 25g of protein (I am mentally sane, I just ordered to see how they taste like before I buy myself 5kg)
I at least expect it to be within the best before date?

If it were a free sample or something that I forgot about then sure it would be a case of man up and drink but since I just bought it aren't they taking the mickey? I'm gonna call tomorrow and see what they have to say about it.

Does anyone else lose weight in big chunks seemingly randomly? I've been back training again since mid-november, and since then gone from 113kg to 105kg. This came in a chunk from 113-110 in the first two weeks, and then from 110-105(!) in the week from christmas to new years. Since then I've been strict as ever and actually stepped up my gym a notch but I haven't lost a thing! Bloody annoying, I'm yearning for that under 100kg weigh in!

It averages out to about the right loss of 2lb or so a week, but I'd much prefer consistent weekly results than absolute randomness! Sad panda.

Guys, looking for a wee bit of further advice here.

I haven't really been concentrating on my diet since I started weight lifting, infact I never have to be honest. Now recently I have started paying a bit more attention to it and started eating a bit more.

Diet

0600 - Shake (Hurricane XS)
0630 - Bacon and Eggs (maybe pointless as the eggs here are powdered)
1100 - Tuna or Egg sandwhich (depends on the meals provided)
1600 - Main meal (Depends again on the meals provided, but normally some form of meat with veg and potatoes thrown in)
1800 - Train
1930 - Shake
2000 - Pitta with chicken breast (or tuna) and cottage cheese

Now I have went up nearly half a stone from 13 to just under 13.5. Though this can go back up and down - but I think that is just that I have no set time in the week I weigh myself. I ain't fat, but my stomach is more so than the rest of my body. I would love to go on sorm form of a cut and drop down on my body fat as much as I can.

But will this affect my strength gains? Which I have worked on for the past 4-5 months. And if it is a good idea, can any diets be reccomened? Sorry if I have missed any post the same.

I'll certainly not be rushing to help you in future, but that's just me.

It really isn't.

How do people feel about Tortilla wraps? Yay or nay?
Aroused, but as said not all wraps are created equally. Now I know what I'm having later on...chicken, peppers, onion, far too much mayo... :)

This is literally a constant source of confusion. Best internet analogy ever :D

It really isn't.

Here-here.

Been going BEFORE work as of late, and I must say what an improvement. No waiting around for equipment to free up early on in the week, and I don't have a day's worth of fatigue to battle when I'm there. Just a case of wake up > breakfast > gym > shower > work!

It's been about 6 months of lifting now for me, and I started at a paltry 10.8st or something. At 6 foot, it wasn't exactly much, and I was weak and skinny. Started DB benching and struggled with 12kg. Squats would give me DOMs when doing it with just a bar, and 40kg was difficult. Deadlifts were just terrifying and my form was even more so!

Now a days, my bench is still quite poor but lifting 22kg for 3x8. I can do 3x8 bodyweight dips. I've hit 100kg for 5 reps on squats. And today I did 2x8 at 110kg for my deadlifts. What a buzz it gives you when you're aware of how much progress you're making :)

Good work :D!

It is nice to be able to see your progression, My friend, who I've kind of been training for about 2 months, was in a similar state to you although a bit taller and a bit heavier. He also struggles with form on his deadlift, like you did. I've been making him keep it really light and he is seeing all his numbers slowly creep up, especially on pullups and dips, he couldn't do any of either before but now he's on 3x5 on dips and finishes each session with as many pullups he can do which is about 5-6.

It gives you real motivation when you see where all your hard work is going :)

I get annoyed by it tbh. I think I turn into an asexual being when in the gym. I'm there to lift weight, get sweaty and release stress and energy pent up, not flatter those bints - I wish they'd put their bits away and get on with their workout. :p

If I were to see the same sort of girl outside of the gym, it's a different story entirely. :D
