what you have acheived DS is phenominal and truelly inspirational to anyone and us all. you should be so proud of how you played this

Maybe take a break, chillax about it for a while getting stressed and hot up about other hardships in life and trying to train too will ultimatly run you down no end, the stress may get in the way of your cut :(

If not then remeber that goal, the aim you set out to acheive when you did your first deadlift of this journey get ya head down a push on through, the pain is worth it, but makes sure you can turn back and say yea it was hard but i enjoyed every ****ing second

I did 3 sets of weighted oblique raises on monday. First time I've done oblique work in months. suffice to say I've been in pain all day and last night :p.

Anyone else do weighted oblique raises or weighted back extensions?

Interesting gym session today.

Took monday and tuesday off as I had a few niggles in my posterior chain and groin from american football, I didn't want to compromise my final squat day of HST. Things didn't go exactly to plan, partially because I didn't leave myself enough time again :o

The day is meant to go like this:

squat: 180kgx5x5, but I did 185x5 last time so was going to build up to at least 190kg
dips: bw+52.5kgx5x5
pullups: bw+22.5kgx5x5 unlikely to do these because of a slight pull in my bicep
shoulder press: 72.5kgx5x5

so the plan was to warm up the squats and go 180x5, 185x5, 190x5 and then see what happens.

What actually happened was this:
barx15 - oops I forgot to take my jack3d. No worries, I'll just chug it now and take a long time warming up. Time to warm the shoulders a bit.
60x10 - hmmmm bloated feeling, maybe my pre-gym meal is still in there too...
100x5 - slightly better
140x5 belt on loose - seems fine
150x1 belt tight - very nice rep
170x1 - again very nice. (btw doing these singles to fire up the nervous system)
180x5 - 1st rep: feeling bloated again, 2nd rep: yep this feels horrible, 3rd rep: uh oh, 4th rep: get to the bottom and was sick in my mouth, a lot. Somehow manage to swallow it while driving out of the bottom, useful skill to have obv. Get to the top and my adrenalin fueled madness convinced me that it would be a shame not to complete the set, and sooo, 5th rep: same thing happens but with more volume, manage to keep it all in but some went a bit in my nose. Aaaaaaaand rack the bar. WTF did I just do that for?!

Had to sit down for quite a long time, did not feel good at all. It was obviously just the pressure on my stomach, but I was feeling dodgy for I don't know how long afterwards. At this point I looked up at the time and saw I had 30 mins to finish everything off :( bye bye dreams of 200kgx5 for now a least. Anyway, got back under the bar and boshed out 185x5 and then 190x5, which is a huge PB. Only had time to do my dips after this though, but thankfully these were fairly routine.

So I've finally been sick from squatting, not in a cool way like after a big 20 rep set, but because I'm an idiot.
:D

what are peoples opinions on pre work out supps such as superpump 250 and NO Xplode?
I'm on a clean bulk at the moment and would like to quicken it up a bit, and thought a supp that lets you work out harder would be advantageous.
I'm currently on a clean diet and MP true whey with semi skimmed.

cheers
Martin

This morning I decided I would start doing HST, having just been off for 8 days with the flu. Perhaps that was a mistake, after the squats I had to go sit down in the toilet for a few minutes :D

Anyway the next workout I should be at full-power again, I hope 10-12 weeks on this will give some good results.

On trying the Jack3d last night (1 scoop) I felt nothing all night.
Will try 1.5 scoops tonight and see (though i might pop into the garage anyway)

would be interested to hear if you get anything from it. read a lot about it and fancied trying it. For a big dude like you...id think that you would need at least 2 scoops...no? Other experienced in taking similar stuff have been taking 3 scoops for the full effect (so ive read on other forums)

Yeah I'm thinking that 2 scoops will be about right given my weight. Thought i'd start from the recommended just to be sure though :)

Only problem with taking numerous scoops of these sorts of products is they loose their value quicker than a brand new beemer

^^^ This. I'm gonna stop using it for a week and see if I can get a better reaction from one scoop, tried 1.5 today and didnt feel a massive buzz. I'm also gonna cut out diet soda and see if that has an effect (I should anyways with that, dont want more fillings D=).

Got 5x5 BW +22.5 dips today but my shoulder felt a bit rough through it. Rest of my chest work was very light/poor.

New deadlift PR today. 2nd time in a row I've felt so nauseated doing deadlifts. After the last rep I started to feel really light headed and quickly ran to the toilets. I was super close to throwing up lol. Does anyone else feel like that when maxing out? Could this be due to poor cardio and/or CNS?

Yeah, have done a few times. always managed to keep it down. comes with working very hard it seems, be it cardio or heacy weights.

good work on the PR :D

I'm sure if you google it, probably have some serious disease/illness :p
But in reality no, just come up a lot, lot slower once you have finished. There are some nerdy details behind it that I won't go in to :)

Pretty standard for me when pushing really hard on deads. I tend to leave a bit longer between my pre workout meal and the deadlifts now, just supplementing with BCAA's during to compensate. Had the odd explosive nose bleed as well!
