Steedie is that meat wholesalers the one in Osney by the industrial park surrounded by a load of other Cash-and-Carry buildings?

Forgot to put up my last ever (until next cycle :)) HST workout results :D. These were the last weight of my B 5x5 day:

Deadlift: 175kg (my 1RM at the end of November )
Bench: 85kg
Single arm DB row: 45kg
Arnold Press: 27.5kg

I have really enjoyed doing HST. At first I was a little skeptical because I had just gotten into powerlifting and it is almost the exact opposite end of the spectrum but at the beginning of every phase I was surprised at how fun it was. My cycle was a little odd in length because I had exams at the end of January and also wasn't following the program for the first part of the 5x5s so I forgot how many days I had done :/.

Overall I am really pleased with how it went, I really enjoyed every session (apart from the one with the vom and the eye popping :). I would recommend it :)!

Awesome! I've been raving about that place for ages, and trying to convince my student brother that it might be worth him going down to save some money. Epic place if you are having a BBQ also :)

This is how my last session of HST looked:

Squat: 140KG x 5 x 3
Press: 62.5KG x 5 x 3
SLDL: 125KG x 5 x 3
Bench: 110KG x 5 x 3
Pull up: + 20KG x 5 x 3
Lateral Raise: Bands, heavy resistance x 5 x 3 (partial rep upto 45 degrees)
Seated Row: 115KG x 5 x 3
Dips: + 40KG x 5 x 3
DB Hammer Curl: 22.5KG x 5 x 3
Smith Calf Raise: 130KG x 5 x 3
BB Shrugs: 130KG x 5 x 3

HST & IF is working very well for me at the moment so will be sticking with it for some time!

Hi all here for some advice again, been addicted to watching the ultimate fighter recently, seen that a fair few of them use sweat suits to cut there weight, is this purely just to aid water loss? or would this help someone trying to lose some fat? would use it indoors for some cardio around the house.

Should imagine they're just for fighters trying to shed some water to make their weight category.

There is some extra calorific expenditure due to thermo-regulation of the body. However it's not a massive amount of extra calories from what I've read. Any water lost will be replaced once the intake of fluid starts. So it's good for making a weight category and then re-hydrating after the weigh in. Could be good for anything where there's a short period of time you need to look your best/driest.(sp)

lower back is proper aching today, nearly fell down the stairs carrying some heavyish boxes last night and felt like i twisted somethign trying to prevent the fall.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I know I'll pull through, it's not in my nature to let things go down hill.

My shoulder's been playing up again but hopefully it'll get better in due course. I'm going take a back seat. I'll be aiming to squat and deadlift once a week each but that's all I'll be doing. Legs and back exercises.

what you have acheived DS is phenominal and truelly inspirational to anyone and us all. you should be so proud of how you played this

Maybe take a break, chillax about it for a while getting stressed and hot up about other hardships in life and trying to train too will ultimatly run you down no end, the stress may get in the way of your cut :(

If not then remeber that goal, the aim you set out to acheive when you did your first deadlift of this journey get ya head down a push on through, the pain is worth it, but makes sure you can turn back and say yea it was hard but i enjoyed every ****ing second
Thanks bud, that does make sense. I'm going to take it easy. I've just seen one of my friends urinate all over my deadlifts. Granted he is about 2.5 stones heavier but still!

I noticed the cut wasn't helping things, so I've started to let the carbs come back into play. Was going pretty well whilst it lasted :o

It's just one pair of g-star jeans are starting to feel pretty damn tight!

Here's what I achieved in under 3 weeks:

Before - Mid Jan

After

6lb lighter and approx 2/3% bf less

First day back in the gym for a while today, strength has dropped off quite a bit and put on around 4kg of fat I assume :(

Paying the price for spoiling my fiancee by going to dinner every night during her last week here but it's worth it :)
