The 2013-14 betting thread! **Spoilers**

Going to back the same 4 teams from the Premier League, Championship, L1 and L2 in an accumulator (or trebles upwards) week after week.

I've done a random number generator on all 4 leagues and the 4 teams are Aston Villa, Middlesbrough, Rotherham and Torquay.

Hopefully they'll give me a nice acca at some stage this season. :)
 
Anyone here bet on horses often? There's been some bizarre goings on with tote returns lately. One instance where a 1/4 favourite paid over 6/1 on the tote. Don't know why but therebare some shenanigans going on somewhere.
 
I gone with a strange 5 fold of:

Benteke to score
Mirallas to score
Swansea vs Man Utd over 2.5
Sunderland vs Fulham BTS
West Brom vs Southampton over 2.5

65/1 or so i think it was.

They're my prices for my random picks I'll be doing every week.

I might just do 4 x trebles and an accumulator seeing as Villa are away to Arsenal.

We've got an alright record for a non-top 4 team at the Emirates in the PL (most recent last):

D 1-1
D 1-1
W 2-0
L 3-0
W 2-1
L 3-0
L 2-1

In 2 of those they scored late on as well, I think we could get something out of that game :p

Nothing tempting me to be honest. Only bet I've had is Defoe to be first goalscorer with Betfair. If it loses in the first 10 minutes, they give me an instant free bet for the rest of the match.

Over at BV, if you have a treble bet on the prem this weekend and lose, you will get a free treble next week for the equivalent amount.
 
Had £2 on an acca and £3 on Walcott to score anytime. Acca lost, Walcott score. Not bad. Can't imagine too many accas came in tonight, Brazil lost, Germany drew. Quite a few surprising results.
 
Backed Walcott to be top Premier League goalscorer EW at 40-1. Last year was a improvement for him so I hope he can improve further this season.

Just need him to finish in the top 4.
 
I just logged in to my BetVictor account and remembered that I have Ian Bell as top runscorer in the Ashes...so in with a chance there!

Thinking of putting some on Cook for top scorer in the next test.

Gambling still requires some thought if you want to try and remain profitable.

Backing an injury prone, inconsistent player for top scorer ew in a league that's full of prolific ones is a bit daft imo.

Yeah, a player so injury prone that he's made 67 appearances in the League for Arsenal in the last 2 seasons. A player who scored 14 in 32 for Arsenal last season finishing 11th in the top scorers list. A player who is only just reaching his peak.

Yes, he will need to score around 18 to give me a run for my money this season. That is why he's a 40-1 poke!

You should go on Betfair laying 40-1 shots. You're obviously wasted on here.
