Possibly but I still think that represents a disruption i.e. more days away from home/base compared to usual prep. Taken in isolation probably not a significant factor but the way I see it taking everything into consideration I certainly don't think it is a case of Southampton simply turning up and brushing Newcastle aside.

Just seen this, nice win on the Open PH.. Can't imagine anyone would have gambled in a 3 way play off when that much is at stake.

I didn't see a new betting thread for this season so I thought I would just post this...
Having recently started a new job, the guys do a £1 acca every Saturday so I joined in. 5-8 of us stick £1 in and chose 1 result each. So far after 3 weeks 2 out of my 3 selections have done good. So I thought to my self why not do it myself. I signed up bet365 (again. I did join back two world cups ago). I put £20 in my account and got the matching £20 too. So £40 to play with. I did a 4 fold today with (to win) Chelsea, Man C, Rangers and Celtic Women) for £1. They all came in and my return was £5.28. I did another bet. Only a few mins to go and it was a foreign game for a draw they was drawing and stuck £5 on it and got £5.56. Ohhh 56p profit.. Anyway onto tonight. Barca, Inter, Sampdoria and Marseille to win £1 4fold and returned £8. so after one day I am £10 up. Once I get profit of £20 I will withdraw and use the rest to play around with. Small easy bets..

Won £983 on a 6 team accumulator (Blues,Burnley,Burton,Derby,Gillingham,Boro). My 1st bet of the season, chuffed to bits with that. Tempted to cash out at £80 as I needed two results to go my way at half time, then Blackpool scored to draw level with gillingham and it went down to £32 so I stuck with it. Nearly cashed at £666 but it wouldn't let me (bloody mobile!!!).
Christ - I'd be interested in seeing a P&L for your betting over the course of a season.
It wouldn't be very interesting recently tbh. I now religiously do £20 per week on football, as 2 £10 accas, then a bet in whatever golf tournament is on. It only gets interesting when I have winnings to play with. After the Saturday acca, I withdrew 900 straight out and played with the hundred. Now I've built that up to £650 it will probably be withdraw £500 and play with the £150 fro Tuesdays games.
Basically, I'll go mad until the next time I have to deposit money, then that will be £20 back to my regular bets. Good way to protect against losing any money.

Doing ok since starting back up with some of these.
Won £290 total profit on a few England bets, had 2-1 correct score, England win and Rooney to score (separate not acca).
Got an acca going atm, Leics/Tott/City/Ars/City (next Sat)/Bmouth (next Sat). All in so far for £143 off £10.
