The 2014-15 Betting Thread *Spoilers*

Combination of Spain bad and holland scoring a couple of great goals, Spain had nothing to retaliate with, IMO Diego Costa didn't suit their style, just confirms that laying the short priced favs is a solid strategy, often overbet.

My bet for the Chile game:

Single 1279945 6/13/2014 10:45 PM 66.00 pending
Soccer: Chile - Australia, In Play
Match Handicap 0-1: Chile @ 2.20

And as soon as I post it, Chile go and ruin it :p

Had Cahill anytime at 5.00, good odds for his goalscoring record for Australia and did well last World Cup.

Colombia at 1.90 tomorrow is a good bet surely?

Well I was bricking it, resigned to it being a loss at about 80mins with the slight time wasting/holding possession. woosh.

Yes and no. I want to do it, but I always take a look at why not, and so far as to say there are really only two things stopping it.

- Greek ability to mega defend to 0-0
- Columbia missing their top goalscorer.

I don't think the 2nd point is that valid a point as they have a very good side, finishing 2nd in the SA WC qualifiers. I just can't gauge how well the greeks will stick men behind the ball. As we all know they can do it very well, leading to luck counter attacks. The Columbian defence is no pushover though, and Greek media have said that their up front is weak.
The trend so far seems to be quite strong scoring games, the Mexican's were denied a couple of goals on Friday that should have been 3-0.

I'm hoping that the strength of the Greeks in the first half will be enough for a 0-0 HT followed by them falling to hold on for a Columbia win (DRAW/COLUMBIA) @ 4.9
Coral are doing a very health "First goal 28mins and over for EVENS, I think that will be my choice, as it will take some time to crack that defence (I hope)

England now 2.86 on Betfair, starting to get to be a solid lay proposition whatever your allegiances, it might even contract further once all you mad England fans get full of ale and plunge on :), surely England shouldn't be favourites for this match?
