The 328i - A bit of a project

I cant see the video, websense blocks it :(

I read it as 'stalling' :p.

You didn't see the boot / spoiler / doors / dash / hubs etc, how come?

Boot has rust, spoiler is an after market bodge by a previous owner, can't be removed as they ground the heads of the bolts they used.

Doors, Dash, hubs etc. - A lot of hassle I can't be doing with. Trying to sell over the web when you live in the middle of nowhere in Devon is nigh-on impossible.

I basically had to remove parts I wanted to sell over one week, then move the car to the front of the house (which required use of wheels) for the next ~2 weeks due to brother wanting his garage back. Then this weekend I have to head back to uni. Just far too much hassle and I wanted rid of the damn thing. :)

Ideally yes, I'd have stripped the whole thing down completely and sold off everything/held back bits in a garage, but I don't have storage space here. :(

You bought it for more than I spent on the BMW and you've had loads of parts. ;)

I can't see it being worth much once you're done with it to be honest. :/

Unlucky :(

And I haven't paid for any parts, brother damaged it, brother paid for it :)

Aside from running costs (tyres and fuel) I've replaced the inlet manifold and vis motors...thats about it!

Live and learn. :)

It was a fun few months. Hell if I'd not spent £1300 on the car I'd have spent it on something else just as useless. :D

Poor old thing :( can't help but think it had more 'life' left in it yet but hey ho!

No space in the enginebay to make a stupid overheating turbo conversion. :p

Couldn't you get another 328 lump for about £350, what was wrong with the rest of it (slight rust issues aside)?

I had literally £0 cash once it died after I bought all the parts and tools, due to thinking it was fine and spending on the 205.

The bushes needed doing, as did the suspension, rust was getting worse and worse of the time I was using it too. :(

Rather than break it all i am sure you would have got over that amount just selling it broken as a whole surely? 328i coupe's are fairly saught after still, best body style and plenty of people willing to replace e36 engines themselves....
