It looks good and I bet it looks far better in your original game but other newer engines do seem to have an edge over it now.

that's because he has set the HDR level too high, Farcry supports something like 14 different HDR intensities

It can look OTT. Depends on your HDR settings (can be customised a lot)those screenies were with max HDR settings which add a lot of bloom to give the extreme look. It looks a lot better when you play it.

I've seen a video somewhere that the new Far Cry will support Direct x 10. I can't remember where I saw the video but it looked awesome

Far cry sequel will be the first dx10 compatible game at the end of the year.

Aye, video can be found on gamershell. Search for Dx10 or similar.. or crytek

The video is very impressive, particularly shadows and volumetric clouds.
