Loading times have gone up by about 15secs over a basic install of the game. I would say the mods have decreased performance in heavy urban area, but the game run perfectly anywhere in the UK. The US is the slowest as that area has most mods applied to it.

I'm running a 3000+ A64 at 3500+ speeds (2.2ghz) with 1GB of Geil and a x800xt at 520/520. To get optimal performance though you need to have a raptor or RAID and make sure you use a defrag program once a week. :) I don't have either of the above, but 99% of the time, it runs smooth as silk. :)

Nice one. Will have a gander once I get my new rig next week.

Why do you think that? I loved it!

Well I wouldnt say it was the worst game of all time, but no way was it the best RTS ever. I just remember the AI being crud, and the fact that it looked 10 years out of date (and this was about 4 years ago). Just my opinion of course. If you loved it then fair do's. :)

Weird water in Half Life 2

Does any one else have this problem with the water in Half Life 2? Its only in this section of the game, the rest in fine. Never happened on my old Radeon 9800 Pro but does now on 6800GT, have tried a lot of different drivers. Thanks.

hehe, its supposed to do that.

See the long blobby brown line across the screen above the watermark, thats the pipe as seen from below murky water and the cooling tower on the left is now a wiggly rope thing.

The 9800pro has a version 2 pixel shader and the 6800gt ps3 so its employing fancier effects for you

lol

If Iam joking it must come natural. I only played through HL2 the one time and I remember it being roughly like that. I played it on a ti4200 at first which is only dx8.1 as you know, I would try it now on my 9800pro but steam is giving me the gip. Its deleted CS Source and then locked me out till admin get me a new password.

To be fair 5bjoshua said its like that too..

Could it be that the water is deeper in that part then other parts of the game or something? Looks right to me anyway

It's FS2004 (FS9) with a lot of heavy modding. I also forgot to add that i have edited my fs9.cfg to get the ground textures sharper and clearer.

OT: Where about's in nottingham are you?
