full cale as in youd be abel to walk, drive a tank or fly a spit fire from london to berlin or russia?

I once flew for about 30 mins with a squadron of hurricanes to a battle only to be shot in the face immediately by an AA gun (literally, the screen went black suddenly, 30 seconds later it comes back to show my plane blown up on the ground)

Its not the whole of Europe to be fair, go here to see the map

but yes you could fly from say, France to Holland

It isn't that ugly really - the leaves in the trees move with the wind, for example, and it has got nice blooming effects from the sun.

I also like the subtle day-night effects (like being promoted in Crysis)

I was rather impressed - it is a very good game and the people playing are very helpful!

Having downloaded the trial I'm tempted to pay the $15 a month! I'd never have considered it otherwise or just by looking at the screenshots

Soz for off topic guys but did you have any problems with the game bud? I downloaded the free trial and what ever settings i had the game on it wouldnt budge over 15fps?? amd 64 3500+, 1 gig ram, x800 xt pe! Not the best setup any more but im sure i should be getting atleast 30 fps on that game with everything on high?!

Thanks.

Nope

I've got it set to Highest Visual Quality, 1280x1024x32, No lock to refresh enabled, Shadow Size 6, Visual Distance Distant, Bullet Holes 128, Dithering, Anti-Aliasing and Specular all enabled. Shade mode is Gouraud, Grass Shaders & Post Render Filder enabled and I get the frame rates shown in my screen shots (40-50fps)

Render Option is set to Video Ram, and Tree Vertex Shaders are enabled

This is with an X800Pro, 2Gig ram and an Opteron 146 so with a slower graphics card (using Cats 5.11 as the newer ones want to use that awful CCC!)

Those screenshots look very nice. Out of curiosity, what spec is your system and what res and settings have you got NFS set at to produce those lovely looking results?

Pentium 3.4Ghz
1024 ram
6800GT

1280x1024, everything max'd

Never thought i'd be able to play this game at full settings, but it runs well, few slow downs here and there, but well playable.

I'm just a bit baffled as my system is similar to yours but I think I run my NFS at 1024x768 with everything up about half way otherwise it would start to lag a bit. I'll take some screen shots and compare.

Out of interest, what you get from 3D Mark 05.

Thanks for the info :D

I found NFS:MW to run better with everything on maximum than it did with custom options (around the mid-level).

Attached a few of my NFS:MW screenshots. Running in 1024x768 everything at max, average of about 40fps. Running the same in 1280x1024 drops the fps down to about 15.

What do you reckon?

To be perfectly honest i dont liek the look of NFS:MW. The blurring effect at speed stop you driving properly and they have added far too many reflections and made the game too bright. Not impressed with the graphics either considering the rig you need to run it at high details.
