Where do i get my lil mits on this game to?

I hated that game, it was silly, the maps that I played was so small that even with only 10 players it was whoever was spawning = win as they didn't have to reload the gun

You need half life 2 deathmatch, then you can download the current version here:

http://mods.moddb.com/5662/battle-grounds-2/downloads/

BUT the next version should be out any day now (those screenshots are from the new version). I shall post a link on the forum when the new version is fully released.

Aww Crap
I dont have half life 2 :(
What is the game like? Is it anything like half life 2?

Seeing as there are no Sin screenies yet I thought I would show you some from the start.

And this one is my favourite-

imagine CS, but with muskets, ie you take about half an hour to shoot one bullet then same again to reload while your crosshair is the size of walse and the bullets never hit inside of it. best bet is to aim at the floor and hope that you don't shoot yourself.

It is most like dod. Americans and British fight for control of flags on the maps. Clearly its the 1700's so you have muskets. They take 10 seconds to reload, so you must choose when to reload carefully. The other attacking option is the bayonet, or sword depending what class you are.

when I last played it the maps where to small (you where spawning about 10ft away from the other side) so it was just silly because it was quicker to die and respawn than to reload.

played battlegrounds on the old 1.6 and source :D never evcer had that before, must have been that canyon map where the two sides spawn in the narrow canyon and have to battle it out for the middle section, becuas thats the only map I ever played where the spawn points are within a few miles :)

Sounds like either a dodgy custom map, or one of the early betas. The current version has come a long way from the early versions. It has lots more proper maps, new player models, and best of all simulated bullets. When you fire the movment of the musket ball is fully simulated, by the source physics. This provides for some very realistic simulation of muskets firing. You can even get ricochets if the ball hits at a steep angle on a surface.
