Im currently finishing Half Life 2 so i can play Episode 1. Am i anywhere near the end?

i like them, they help quite a lot. No, you're very far off from finishing, it's a few levels ahead but they are very long levels. I'm doing the same so that i can play ep 1, i'm nearly done :cool:

Yeah, there's no AA in BIA, only AF, high texture quality and HDR. I have set my AA levels to 8x in my Nvidia settings, so it would look slightly worse without it.

Theres quite a long level inside the buildings of Nova Prospect, trying not to spoil anything here. Then a very long chapter back in City 17 before you can see things concluding. Stick with it as the last levels of City 17 are quite a bit of a challenge.

Its worth buying if you like SIMs, and to be honest I don't play at a particularly high level of realism, but it isnt an easy game if its your first!

And yes it is a bit of a beast to run if you dont have a decent spec machine (I used to play it on a A64 [email protected], 1gig ram, 6800GT@ultra+, decent details and 1280*1024)

The community has thinned out quite a bit during 2006 but most of the discussion is here:

For online play, I can remember people using "hyper lobby" but its so unpredictable with lag, you can be flying along and then end up being on the ground in a fireball within seconds. Its an experience. I think quite a lot of people now use the mod Flaming Cliffs so fewer play the original LOMAC.
