Have you tried adding jpeg_quality "100" to the hl2 config? Makes the screenshots get captured with better quality.

Some nice HL2 shots lads. Shame I can't seem to play the game for more than 10 minutes without having the need to Vom! I've tried all types of console settings but it still makes me feel sick

Man that must suck >.< I have to agree with you though in HL2 you do seem to "fly" around rather than walk.

Maybe on one of these half life 2 fan mod forums they have a mod where the character actually steps up and down rather than floating if you know what i mean, maybe that will help you.

Try turning DOWN the contrast a lot, High contrast and lots of fps motion is a bad mix. Reduce brightness a bit as well.
Other than that you just have to get used to it. Play for 5 mins at a time, then just build up over a few weeks.

Standard contrast settings in the ati control panel is 100.
I have it set to 30 sometimes as low as 20.
Boost the brightness by 10-20 it wont affect your eyes as much as contrast.

The screen will look dark at first but you will get used to it, you may have to fiddle with it until you get settings right for you.
