I believe it's called linguistic propaganda, just like "cliff-edge" Brexit and "crashing out". People are made to fear simply by the controlled use of language, question is who are doing the controlling?

No no.. it's perfectly simple.. Scotland want "independence" from someone who could be perceived (in the eyes of those wanting independence) as holding them against their will/stopping them from being able to make their own decisions... aka being independent.

Half the UK want to "leave" the EU which is a voluntary club. You can't get independence from something you can leave whenever you want... the fact that the average brexiter is making such a pigs ear of leaving they can't even agree the terms with themselves is by the by.
