No no.. it's perfectly simple.. Scotland want "independence" from someone who could be perceived (in the eyes of those wanting independence) as holding them against their will/stopping them from being able to make their own decisions... aka being independent.
Half the UK want to "leave" the EU which is a voluntary club. You can't get independence from something you can leave whenever you want... the fact that the average brexiter is making such a pigs ear of leaving they can't even agree the terms with themselves is by the by.
