The trip to Proxima Centauri might only take 4.3 years, so upon the traveller's return to Earth they may have only aged 8.6 years, everyone they knew will be dead as 170 years would have elapsed on Earth :eek:

And this is why biological space travel beyond our solar system is just pointless for all but those who don't mind coming back to a world that's completely different, or no longer exists...

Time dilation is a hell of a mind boggle.
