The All New Desktop Thread, Images No Larger Than 800x600

I'm using Windows 2000, is there a way I can hide the My Computer and Recycle Bin as they are the only icons left on my desktop?

I hid My Computer through the display properties and the Recycle Bin through TweakUI on XP Pro - it's probably similar for 2k!
