What's a good (free) app that can cycle desktop backgrounds? I like my desktops, but I like a variety and want to cycle them.

You could probably do it with a renaming script in autoexec.bat...

There was a user here who made his own desktop changer. He posted it in the HGP forum. Worked quite well, wouldn't have a clue about Vista compatability though.
