I think you can do this with TweakVI, the TweakUI equivalent for vista.

I also often switch to one thats a replica of the XP Luna Metallic visual style too

(I like Aero at first, now I just think it's annoying).

There aren't many textures in it, except the active titlebar, which does admittedly look better

Nothing wrong with an Ubuntu logo, considering it's Clearlooks that it's copying

The Windows orb would look out of place IMO.
