The all new Intel 330 series of SSD coming soon to OcUK!

Any news about a possible bench?
I`m interested in the 60 GB ones, 4 SSDs in raid0.
Thanks.

That's the bench of my 330 60GB. I'm unimpressed with the speeds to be honest...I was expecting a little more. For some reason, though, toolbox doesn't recognise my drive as being intel, so I think maybe I'm missing something? Any advice anyone??

Many thanks guys!
@dirtychinchilla - yeah, a bit disappointing. :( It`s true it`s a small 60 GB disk, but I was also expecting a bit more than that. Particularly, the writing speed it doesn`t look right. maybe there`s something wrong with the disk.
I found a french review here for Intel 330 series 180GB SSD. I was looking for proper benchmarks for the 330 series and I have to say that you can find a lot of review websites announcing the intel 330 series, but no proper benchmarks.
@Kalpsn2000 - for SATA 2 I think you`re fine. I`m on SATA 2 too and I have similar results with a M4 128 GB I just bought a few days ago. On the right you can see 2 x M4 128 GB in Raid 0. I was also hoping for a bit more but I think I have to be happy for a SATA 2 onboard controller.

I have to say, I'm very disappointed. If there's no solution then I think I'll have to return it, if possible. An M4 would be preferred, and perhaps a larger disk. I also found that no sites had any benchmarks, at it certainly doesn't live up to Intel's advertisement of it.

Have you tried Atto benchmark? As that's probably what Intel based their figures on. AS SSD benchmark is more of a worst case scenario due to the type of data used being non-compressible so bypassing the advantages of Sand Force controller

I was reading an Intel 520 series review from Anandtech and I just found this. If you take a look at the AS-SSD incompressible write sequential benchmark, the result for the 60 GB Intel 520 is around 92 Mb. So, it seems quite probable for the 60GB Intel 330 series to end up with such test results. If you take a look at the 240GB model, the results are telling a different story.
Right now, I think the best bang for the buck ,you will get with the 120-128 GB sizes. Of course, the biggest, the fastest.
