Ah right, I've always thought you can have as many or as little as you want (which seems to be the case) but your response made me doubt that for some reason. I'm not very knowledgeable in the World of weddings. I went to my first one yesterday.

Not everything at a wedding happens because it's required; multiple ushers is just another example. A way to recognise your best mates I guess and have some 'official' bro support.
it's the ***** job, come up to solutions for simple problems. Guide people to right seats. Carry women's coats and bags for the photos, run around solving any other small problem you get landed with. Think of it like being a golf caddy.

Hey... don't knock being a golf caddy!
My brother is a caddy at St. Andrews over summer and he makes "minimum" £120 cash per day (2 rounds)! If the golfer is feeling flush it can be double that!
And you just walk about "suggesting" clubs and stuff... !
What if you suggest the wrong clubs? Do you still get paid?

How much can you really suggest a club for someone you've just met!! You ask them how far they hit a 7-iron for example, and he knows the yardages of the course well... so really it's not too difficult to figure out.
If you get the club wrong you just say "oh you caught that a little heavy" haha...
He also does reads for lines on the green for them... has some funny stories of lines he's absolutely botched. But as I said, minimum payment is £60 per round ... then they are free to tip you above that.
He had an American who gave him $200 for every round because my bro didn't mind taking dollars, for 5 rounds over 3-4 days i believe!
I'd say get to your second while you can mate:
She's a fine lookin' lass, and the photo makes her look a right laugh to boot. Tie her down while you can!
Just don't have kids, unless you really have to. The world needs more love and less kids, in my oh-so-humble opinion
