I think I sorta got some of it but mostly I was just staring blankly at the screen wondering what was going on. In some ways I liked the end, in others it reminded me of AI where it was almost finished and then someone came and added their own interpretation after the orignal director died.

I will watch the movies soon, I'm busy for the rest of the week but DW said that this would proabably help too. :)

All in all I enjoyed the series and it had to end somehow but did it need to play with my head quite so much?

That's half the fun of eva, having it mess with your head :)

If you go back to the very first episode again, watch the first couple of minutes and see if you can spot anything odd now you've seen the rest of the series;)
 
Just bought the first Platinum Eva (Eps 1-5) from MVC...whoever said getting into Anime was a slippery slope to an empty pocket was right!!

I am about 1/3 of the way through Bebop too and really enjoying it - I love the orchestral arrangements in that series, the piece where Spike is falling from the church window and his life with Viscious flashing before his eyes is absolutely wonderful!

I didn't pick up on it until my second viewing :)


Now for a question, I want to start watching something but can't make my mind up about what one.

I've narrowed it down to one of the following series

Burn-Up Excess - girls with guns short series
Dai Guard - funny giant robot series with a twist
Princess 9 - sports series (about a girls baseball team - it's good)
Lain
Outlaw Star
His and Her Circumstances
Rahxephon
or Evangelion

I honestly can't decide which one to watch, i keep looking at them but getting stuck on the choice (i've seen them all before and they are all on my rewatch list).
It's really annoying when you've got a selection, and are stuck as to what to watch.

i keep getting tempted by the various eva figures but don't really have the room for any more around my monitor :(
At least not until i finally get my storage unit finished (still half built in the garage:)).

I rate hack sign. Though perhaps as I'd just come out the other side of major mmorpg abuse, this could have influenced me. tbh if you havent done the mmorpg thing seriously I wouldnt bother as an understanding of what they do to you is needed.

Dusk** was... a dissapointment after. A bit like gundamZ -> ZZ = aiming way lower on the target age group in the sequel. I dont understand why so many anime series do this - go after a different target group on sequels.

Has anyone noticed the name and logo of Misato's beer?
I just noticed and had to laugh it's the same, or near enough as another Gainax series
