Haven't the foggiest what's around there so you could go on a scouting mission lookign for places to eat and drink for when we all turn up ;)
indeed i might do...depends how things go.

*edit*
i'm so glad i'm only 50miles (an hr) away with all this talk of 3hr trips :p

If my party leaves at midday then we should be there in just over three hours, traffic permitting. I'm inclined to think it'll be more like four though. I used to be able to make Loughborough in about two-and-a-half hours but there's a good few junctions more to go this time, and twenty miles of A-road after that. I'd better start putting some summery road trip tunes into the ipod!

We'll be setting off from mine at about quarter to 7ish ont the friday morning, got to drop M off at my mum's and then we'll set off for AT.

I dont know who's driving, how quickly we get there will depend on which of us is driving.

Mmmm, I'm undecided on route now. TomTom wants to take me A14, M1 but I know a nice road along the A606/A6006 that I used to do on the bike when going to Donington. It brings me out just down the road and skips the M1 :)

Wonder what I'll be doing :D

it'd be nice if i had a navigator like that...just me, the car, the directions (on paper!) and the road. oh, and CDs

lol.. there are times I wished I'd got one of those, like last weekend when I drove up to my sisters in Hatfield. Nice easy journey, m23, m25, a1(m), but once you got off I had to negotiate the perils of one way systems, god awful huge roundabouts with confusing road markings and all sorts of stuff, with me stopping frequently to consult the directions she'd given me!

I can get to AT from here with my eyes shut (though if i'm driving I probably shouldn't). Getting to the hotel could be fun though :/

I'm lazy and staying at the travellodge. Dead simple to get to :D

yeah, gettin to AT would be easy...just get to the general area and then keep an eye on the brown signs!
but i've gotta find PPP

I hope that wont be too late - I'll be hungry :o

I'll definitely be one of the last to arrive - 7ish I reckon, so long as the traffic is forgiving and I can actually find the place!

If I get bored this weekend i'll take a stroll over and see where it is. Yes, I am that close :p

Sounds good to me if you can get there! The station is about five minutes from my house too, so if you want to get here slightly earlier and grab something to eat at mine first I can just come and get you. As long as we've left by 1pm it shouldn't be too bad on the roads.
