There was talk of doing a car-sharing convoy type thing from Old Royd if necessary so chances are you'd be able to pinch a lift with someone. :D

Depending on what I'm driving - may be forced to go to AT via the Old Royd to give a lift to a lucky person/persons... ;)

*please let me have the orange 3 seater....- c'mon Franny - get it fixed you italian wooftah! ;)*

pmsl....where can i start :p

well i'll give you one example; last month i was in london for a trade show and to come home i got the train from houston to crewe. in the first 45mins of the journey we'd not moved more than 300m
it took like 4/5 hours  :(
god damn faulty virgin trains!!!

Virgin Trains - and the passenger still gets screwed. :p

Other half has to take the train to london and back every day - I just drive 7 miles down the road. :D

Not something I'd like to do everyday - train to london the suffer the underground. No ta.

Simon/~Flibster

as it happens i will have to get virgin trains from london to stoke on trent! *** reason i said if anyone else is getting trains is maybe we can co-ordinate our leaving so that we can have a get together in the train! as i will be nervous otherwise for the whole duration!

PS...
whats flibster talkin about a DB7 n DB9 for

I'm trying to borrow a car slightly more interesting than my Megane Coupe for Thursday->Sunday :D

Other half wants one fo the Aston Martins...Me on the other hand - I want the McLaren F1 LM...

I know the Aston is a long shot - needs a lot of engine work - not sure about the conditions of the McLarens apart from haven't been run in 9 months.

It's all up to Ikklefrannypoos *or Franchesco as his real name is* to get one roadworthy by Wednesday for me to pickup...

Simon/~Flibster

Don't know if that one's been delivered yet - was due in April..wasn't delivered then though. :(

I want the McLaren - it's far more sensible than the DB9 - smaller, lighter and with more luggage space *usefull - need to get the missus's suitcase in it. :p ;)*

Simon/~Flibster

Thats what I keep saying. :D

The chap who owns them *Ben* is currently recovering from stomach cancer in the US - went from 17-18stone to 7.5stone ish...

Franchesco is paid by him to look after his collection of road and race cars - he's a car nut as well..Ex Ferrari F1 team mechanic and owns 2 classic Ferrari's of his own *Sadly a Miami Vice one in Cream with a Leaf Green leather interior and a Magnum PI one in black...*

I just drive them. ;)

Hmm.. Old Royd hotel is miles from the stoke-on-trent station. Its nigh on probably about 5 minutes walk most from the Uttoxeter station. I'd strongly suggest you travel to there and walk it :D There are trains approximately every couple of hours between stoke-on-trent and uttoxeter. I imagine there would also be buses.
There will be plenty of space in my car for passengers from Old Royd to Alton Towers (and back), so no probs there.
