Mrs Flibster has had a good idea ..

For those of us staying @ Piggy's Pleasure Palace it would be a good idea to car share rather than have a hooooge convoy

It also means a few more people will be able to have a few alcoholic beverages at Alton Towers should they so wish

Other half just read this - she will be having a couple of fermented beverages as well...but not too many as she's a lightweight.

1 drink = she's happy
2 drinks = she's drunk
3 drinks = she's anyones

As for me..I won't be drinking so I can be a taxi driver.

I did all my drinking at uni. Well..I did my drinking, your drinking and several other peoples drinking at uni.

sounds like a good idea to me.

what cars will we have there? my fiesta might not be the best of options due to limited capacity!!

Jhadur doesn't drink much anyway so I don't think he'll mind being a taxi (I'll check when he gets home from work)

If GIBSrUS can't get his engine from the Liverpool scrappy, it looks like I'll be bringing the Pimp Punto (it's gold). I hadn't actually considered there might be drinking going on at the Towers themselves (yes, I know, naive!) so I wouldn't be disappointed if I was driving... which I probably would have been anyway.

I finally got some new swimming shorts today from Free Spirit. They claim to have special writing on them that only appears when they get wet. Fingers crossed they don't say something like 'I have a small willy', complete with arrows pointing crotchwards; it'd be embarrassing to have made that mistake twice.

Oh, and 19 sleeps?! Are you going a week earlier than everyone else Piggy?!

There's only one pub in the towers (afaik anyway), so it really wont be a boozy day. The evening however will be slightly different, and possibly involve too much wine for a change.

Only had a room on the 19th not the 20th.

So we're going to a place we've stayed at before.

Anyone else going to book their tickets for the towers online?

Been looking at the ticket options - the ones that allow you to skip to the front of some of the queues seem to be a waste of time as it's only for 4 rides..

Air, Nemesis, Oblivion and the Flume. Doesn't include the new ride.

Hmmmm..skip the queue on 2 good rides or save a bit of wedge....

Uhh.. Subtle reminder.. I've got some vouchers that'll allow 6 of us to get in half-price.. however you can't book in advance, they're on the day usage. So far (off hand) I believe I've got Belmit, freefaller, Gilly, Otacon, Piggy and myself noted as wanting to use them?
