So far, 2015 has done nothing to convince me that staying AMD is actually a good thing.
Meh.

Whoever gets the first GPU's out for the die shrink will have my money at this rate, and I'm kind of hoping it's not AMD.

I hope they apologise for the poor state of affairs with these driver updates. 3 months since last driver and told at last minute that we're not getting drivers until some unknown time. Not acceptable really is it? Why not set a more realistic release date instead of constantly delaying it and alienating customers?

Hello Everyone,

First of all, I'm personally sorry for advising you all the driver would be ready today. I hate letting people down as i know many of you have been waiting a long time for this driver.

We want the Catalyst 15.3 Beta driver with AMD FreeSync technology to be the highest quality as possible and are working hard to release it as soon as possible. I’ll make sure to update everyone here when the driver is ready for download.

I don't anticipate a long wait for it to be released, but it's not going to be today I'm afraid as i was expecting.

Thank you for your patience.

Thanks for letting us know, but, this is where AMD are going wrong. It's not the big problems, it's the little things that are killing them. What's worse is that they don't seem to realise this.

They seem to be focusing on getting stuff out there, like Mantle and freesync but leaving them unfinished to move onto the next buzzword technology.

Freesync is a perfect example of why AMD is failing. They have been pushing and pushing this for the last year or so. People have been waiting for these monitors for ages, yet when they arrive no driver is available. Most people could forgive them that, a monitor manufacturer released early. But, now the driver is delayed? And no support for crossfire until April.

Freesync is a big deal for AMD, something for its customers to get behind and promote to other potential buyers. The number one focus should have been to get freesync support ready on time for both single and multi card users. They should have delayed everything else. It wouldn't have made too much difference if the 390 cards came out in June or July.

The eyes of the world are on AMD with Freesync and already they are a laughing stock.

You got to take care of the small details.

Thing is as well the work they've been doing for 3-4 months and the delay largely looks like it's down to freesync and a massive majority of their users won't even have a compatible monitor yet.

There'll be a few profiles there for the newer games but outside of that I can't see what else they've done to the drivers, the beta drivers the reviewers got have shown no performance gain in the games that already had support.

My issue isn't so much the support for the games, it's fact we keep on getting told dates that never seem to be met. Can't stand the lies. Don't tell us dates if you're not going to ****ing meet them!

tbh this isn't good enough amd. people buy in to crossfire meaning buying multi gpu's but have to wait along time for drivers to make use of crossfire in new game releases..

and should stop trying to fit a large amount of things in each driver update, and just release smaller amounts which would make them more regular releases.
