The AMD Driver Thread

Aside from the ranting, Matt, do you know if the driver has the fix for the bothersome DPC/Audio-stutter issue when using Vsync and Crossfire with multi-monitor setups?

I tried a fresh install of the w10 previews and it didn't help, just to save you the heartache. I too am desperate for a fix on this one, but I've accepted it isn't coming so I'm just waiting for new gpus

Also, you might notice that even with vsync disabled your DPC latency will be quite high in crossfire, which still causes performance issues for me (though nowhere near as bad as with it enabled). The only true workaround for me is disabling my secondary monitor

We're continuing to work on trying to recreate this internally on our setups but so far we've been unable to. It seems like we're missing a piece of the puzzle at the moment.

Yeah I know, I can't see them working it out though. It just seems like there is no common thread besides the multiple displays (no matter what resolution or display connector used), and that it is made worse by vsync. It's not much to go on so I don't blame them for not fixing it. God knows I've tried everything to get to the bottom of it. Just praying the 390x isn't delayed.

Yes, every time we think we've discovered want it might be, we replicate that internally and it works fine. So far we've tried onboard sound, slower pci-e lanes x4 for example, pci-e lanes provided by the IHR, different types on monitor connection the list goes on. As always if anyone has this issue (thankfully seems to be rare) please let me know.

This is NOT a dig at you Matt but how about instead of trying to recreate new issues to not fix, AMD pull their finger out and release the drivers they have been promising for months.

It really is beyond a joke, I paid almost £600 for this card and think I have a pretty good case for being sold a product that is not fit for purpose. meaning I purchased a crossfire card and because of the complete lack of driver support nearly all the latest games have no crossfire profiles.

as i said before this isn't good enough. the people who buy in to crossfire meaning buying multi gpu's (which is a lot of money) but having to wait along time for drivers to make use of crossfire in new game releases..

and should stop trying to fit a large amount of things in each driver update, and just release smaller amounts which would make them more regular releases. simple as that.

also i know amd only wants to release highest quality drivers as matt said, but the 15.3 will be beta, so everybody expects bugs, issues, hence why it's called beta. so why try to make it perfect before releasing and still call it beta?

What issue is it? Can you elaborate?

Is it when using Multi-monitors in games? Or anyone that has more than one monitor connected?

I guess this pretty much sums it up how we CF users are feeling after waiting and waiting aaand still waiting for something to happen.
