The AMD Driver Thread

I've been having issues with my 7900xtx and little white dots appearing on screen in dark areas with driver 26.3.1. I This happens in game and on desktop. I thought my GPU was borked. I uninstalled the driver and ran DDU and installed the driver, same issue. I then did the full driver removal and installed the older 26.2.2 and it went away.

Well I think I have solved it! We have a new cat and he's been going behind my PC and screen and has knocked the DVI to HDI lead about a bit. Refitting it seems to have fixed the issue. He's a menace!

Why you should stick with dogs they never mess with or chew up your HDMI or USB cables... Only your shoes your furniture and your TV remote :cry:
 
Can i just say Arc Raiders is running like a dream right now on 9070xt, so whether it's the embark team, microsoft or you guys, i thank you.

*edit* Ive installed and Adrenalin App wouldn't open, tried a clean installation with no joy, so am back to 26.3.1

Anyone tried 26.5.1 with No Man's Sky - The game just crashes outright on launch with 26.5.1 with even a fresh steam download and install. Switching back to 26.3.1 fixes it

UPDATE : Turns out just uninstalling 26.3.1 and then installing 26.5.1 isn't enough . I ended up having to uninstall 26.3.1 . then running AMD clean up utility in safe mode - then after rebooting installing 26.5.1 . That fixed the issue with No man's Sky and also seem to fix the Adrenaline issue.

I must admit it's the first time I've had to use the clean up utility but then I am seeing reported that this driver is a completely new branch so that may be what happened

Additional Information​

  • When downgrading to a previous version of AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition, it is recommended to use the AMD Cleanup Utility.
