The AMD Driver Thread

does anyone have any idea why my memory wont throttle down on Desktop on GPU1? My core clocks on both cards throttle down as intended, as does the mem clock on GPU2, but on GPU1 it seems to stay at top whack.

Even if it's not on the pc will still be outputting a picture to it.
If you have second monitor setup, and you only use TV now and then I recommend setting to output only to monitor and then when you want to use TV switch to that display, instead having the both running in multi monitor thingy

Hi, Im getting black lines occasionally flashing horizontally across my screens in windows after I updated to the Doom drivers. 16.5.2.1

I didnt notice any issues in Doom itself. Seems to be only occasionally and only in windows.

I get the same thing, and it persists in 16.5.3, though somehow it doesn't seem to be quite as bad as in 16.5.2.1. The black lines seem to flash up whenever video content starts in a web page.

Yes exactly this. Not the end of the world but not ideal. I didn't know 16.5.3 was available ? Wish the AMD software was better at giving alerts to new driver availability. I wouldn't have even known to get the doom drivers if I hadn't read about it here.

cheers guys, will give that a go in the morning, will report back.

update on the sticking memory clock guys.

Still the same, just can't get the memory clock on GPU1 to lower when on Desktop and doing nothing. I've tried re-enabling ULPS both in MSIAB and via regedit. I've also unplugged the HDMI to TV and lowered my display to 120hz and 60hz. I've redone drivers (even though I was getting this on previous versions).

Anything else I can try?

Just been experimenting with the horizontal line flicker issue with online videos.

I have 2 displays. (Dell U2414H connected via DP1.2, and BenQ G2420HD connected via HDMI).

-Both displays connected and the HDMI display set to Full RGB 4:4:4 or Limited RGB 4:4:4:

Desktop Idle Video Memory Clock: 1500MHz
Black horizontal line flashes every time a video starts playing on a web page.

-If I disable one display:

Desktop Idle Memory Clock: 150MHz
No Flicker

-Both displays connected and the HDMI display set to YCbCr 4:2:2 or YCbCr 4:4:4:

Desktop Idle Memory Clock: 150MHz
No Flicker

The Division Crossfire performance is somewhat better now, no flickering at all and pretty good scaling on the cards. Stays pretty much at a solid 60fps whilst outside, and inside up to 90fps on average now- that's with every setting maxed out at 1440p, quite happy, might start playing it again.

Check out the OSD.

I had intermittent flickering on the desktop a few month ago when using DP with my 390X. Turned out to be a faulty GPU - RMA repalcement has not flickered even once, on the desktop or in-game.
