There's something wrong when you've been delaying for months, breaking promises, and a few hours before the hyped release time, you still don't know if you are going to ship on time. Better not to make promises at all than to make promises and break them.

Any company wants their customers on their side, not grumpy and annoyed by the above behaviour, threatening to go to a competitor product, and generally feeling unhappy towards the company, all of which we've seen in this thread, let alone other threads at tech sites around the web.

Please AMD, get your act together.

With GPU's it's not the same, companies rarely ever give anything away.
Stuff like the titan is the exception.
I don't care how silent they are, until that silence becomes counter productive.

I don't even want a date on the 390X, but some confirmation of its existence and specifications would go a long way.

Well if you can't manage your customers' expectations properly, and it ends up being counterproductive and driving customers to your competitor, then yes, they should shut the hell up instead of making things worse.

Not at all. It depends on the game and the quality settings used. Some games, particularly older games at 1080p, will be CPU-bound and won't scale too well. Crank up the detail and / or resolution, though, and you put more stress on the GPUs and should see better scaling with multiple GPUs.

I tried it and it deactivated my Windows 7 64 bit license key. Had a ballache to reactivate it and now i have a startup in ccleaner called *LABAL* and thats all it shows, no other info on it AT ALL.

Guess im gona have to install Windows again or use my backup image unless someone knows what that startup is, i installed Radeon Pro yesterday so i dont know if it has something to do with that... anyone?

I downloaded the press driver from the Battlefield thread FYI.

Comp seems to be running ok atm but im never gona download an AMD driver from anywhere but AMD's site.. ever again

I had the same a few months ago with the beta omega drivers, had to reactivate my windows license but no one believed me.

Yea im thinking the press driver is only for Win 8 which may have caused it, i believe you though and wish i knew why it would do that. Reactivate through chrome failed so i had to fire up IE, which then worked.

I wont be trying anything like that again.

Seriously, ther options shouldn't be say nothing OR saying something and get it wrong. Surely fro ma proffesional multi-million dollar company you should expect the option to be say something and then do it?

I really want one, but not a crazy money's, not with 16nm surely a year or less away. Only time I see myself spending more than usually is on 16nm cards that bring a nice performance boost.

We need the die shrink, it's getting boring now. I think that is why I am looking forward to the next AMD card as if it indeed is HBM it is something new and shiny

Yea I'm hoping with dx12 and all I can make these 290's stretch their legs a little more and get another year out of them. I'd like to skip this coming generation and wait for 16nm as well

I would, this long wait is not the norm. Am I a little frustrated that I cant use crossfire on some titles I would like to play, of course I am but not to the extent where I feel AMD are deliberately taking the **** out of us.

I want the drivers as much as everyone else but something has clearly come up that is forcing their hand to withhold the drivers for now.
